The day .76 was released I was like "awe yeah a new brawlbox" I immediately downloaded it, before you had added the pictures. I opened up a Peach texture I had been working on (which I hadn't worked on in almost a month). I didn't notice anything unusual. Fast forward to later that day, I'm checking DSX8's thread and I see his comment about how awesome stages look in the new Brawlbox. I then decided that I would give this new update a second look... and my mind was blown. So that's the story about how I almost didn't know that shaders were now in Brawlbox when everyone else did.
P.S. In my defense Peach doesn't look that much different with shaders besides being brighter.
Firstly I would like to thank every one who made this new update possible. This thing is the BOMB!!! After I saw the April fools joke a thought to myself "I wonder if you could ever actually make some way to see shaders in Brawlbox?" My wish was granted! Thank you Blackjax (the trolliest troll to ever troll) and anyone else who helped with this new update. 10 points to Gryffindor!
To anyone whom it may concern. I derped up one of the textures, so I messaged Vert092 with the new one... and I just realized I sent him the wrong one... Yeah... So If anyone needs it it's right here with an updated belt for Sumia (The stripe was off center but I had no 3d model at the time so I didn't know. Cheers!
So I got my hands on SM3DW and CT:TT models, and decided to make this cute import.
However, I can't continue until I figure out how to get the normal maps to work. When extracted from the source files, the Normal and Spec(Maybe? IDK really) textures are in a .DDS format that can't be opened in Paint.NET or Photoshop. Anyone wanna take a look at 'em?
I've used this and it works fine for me (http://www.ddsconverter.com/). Also, there is a plugin for photoshop (https://developer.nvidia.com/nvidia-texture-tools-adobe-photoshop). The problem with the photoshop plugin is (for me at least since I use elements 8 and this isn't meant for it exactly) is that it doesn't keep the images transparency, but that may just be because I'm using elements.
thanks, but they are not my spec maps. they are straight from HW, and the spec shader/materials are from brawl captain falcon
also, today was test day and I am done with it, so I can start back making progress
What I mean is great job getting them to look so good in game. I'm just know learning to do spec maps and they can be weird sometimes (my first attempt ever, resulted in peach being completely transparent except for her eyes and jewelry).
You are awesome! There are no Young Link models on the vault that I like, and work with PM. I've looked everywhere. The closest was the one by PIK but it doesn't work with PM. I'll be replacing literally half my Toon Links with recolours of this. Also, the Link pack is beautiful, your Spec maps are amazing.
No, what I was trying to say was that it does work with PM like as in I'm playing it right know (you just have to use the different .rel). Also, I have nothing against Brawl or Smash 4 (unlike some haters, I love Smash 4) but, PM is what motivated me to fix my Wii and buy Brawl. At that time I thought you could only customize PM (I now know there are plenty of other ways to customize Brawl) but I like its play style because it's not as slow I guess, and because melee graphics hurt your eyes!
its made over pokemon stadium 2, but ported over Pokemon Stadium 1 for the non transforming.. idk if it'll stay regular over pokemon stadium 2.
I thought both Brawl versions of Pokemon Stadium transformed? Anyways, the issue was that in PM Pokemon Stadium 2 has the transformation disabled so it crashes if you don't use the Pokemon Stadium 2 .rel with this. It's not really a problem it's just the opposite of what you described for PM I guess.
P.S. Great work on all these stages, every one of them looks amazing.
Boxing Ring is awesome! Great work! Small question, is it supposed to be listed as Pokemon Stadium or Pokemon Stadium 2 on the vault? I use PM with stage expansion and you have to use Pokemon Stadium 2 .rel for this to work.
These look phenomenal! The Trainee Link is the bomb! The spec maps on these are awesome, great work. I can't wait to see what young link looks like when you release him later, because there isn't really a proper young link on the vault that works with PM.
This looks awesome! I was literally going to post and ask if you had thought to make the screen like the one in Pokemon Stadium...However, I think you beat me to it. Great work!
