31  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Stages / Re: Mewtwo2000's Stage Thread [No news yet... (07/05/2013)] on: May 11, 2013, 04:39:07 PM
i just wanna keep the thread alive here. i have an idea regarding your scrapped Mighty Poo stage idea, M2000. what if with the brstm that comes with it, the singing [censored] moves its mouth with the words from the songs. doesnt need to be deadon of course, but just when the words happen. all the other parts without words he just sits there doing his left-to-right movemnt. since i dont play with items, the track wouldnt desync with the GMP.
again, just an idea if u wanna revive the stage... after your other stages of course

Pausing would still throw it off.

real men use saves >=3

actually, I believe my save actually contains info to help compys fight better.
(my compy, red-hat Pika in particular, actually fights better than a lvl9)
 ^ no codes attached Cheesy

I actually believe it has to do with me fighting my compy for years.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but you're wrong.
Replay data has to be capable of being synched between wiis.
Replay data is nothing but starting conditions and button presses.
For an accurate replay, a computer will have to act the same in the same circumstances.
Therefore, the AI can learn during a fight, but not have a total bank of experience.

But very few people have shown interest in any investigation of SSE so far, and there are currently no projects looking into the SSE files.

XD Yeah, I program, but ASM is beyond me.

Alright. I can answer your questions.

1. It IS possible to add more than the current amount of stages. There are even packs around that do it for you. I have NO IDEA where they are though, so you'll have to find it yourself.

2. You CAN edit game modes. But you won't be finding any of us here at KC-MM doing it. Unless PhantomWings (the guy who started all of this stuff) happens to pony up and dives into some serious ASM hacking, you'll just have to see what the people over at Project M are doing.

3. It IS possible to add more than the current amount of Skins. The system that does that is called BrawlMasquerade.

And it isn't finished. You'll have to bother ForOhFor Error if you want to know why though.

4. Adding additional characters to the game is NOT POSSIBLE. Yet. What you're asking for is the "clone engine," and that hasn't been finished. In fact, I think they actually managed to get something running on the slot the developers left in for Roy, but it was horribly horribly broken.

In any case, until then, for character mods anything you download is going to have to replace something already in the game. That, and you can only have one moveset per character. It's unfortunate, but you more or less will never have more than 35 fully functional characters.

Lastly, if you can't get to the downloads, follow the instructions of that "If you are experiencing errors while browsing the Vault (windows only saying "Problem:")" box at the top of the screen. It might help.

Waitwaitwait.
When the HELL was I involved with BrawlMasquerade? I think that was Dant.

Is the c-stick really not good enough?

That's.... not what inheritance is.
Inheritance is where a class is a specific subset of another class, with specific code added. Really useful.

Try deleting the existing palette.

Edit: Damn, ninja'd

Does python have class inheritance? Because that [censored] is useful in Java.

3.1 MB is about the cutoff for FD, I think.

Maybe look at falco's scouter thing? Tabuu seems like a complex model.

:/ Still fully opaque.
43  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Partially Transparent Textures on: April 19, 2013, 06:30:58 PM
So would 0 in that be fully transparent, or 255?
44  Help & Tutorials / Help / Partially Transparent Textures on: April 19, 2013, 06:09:35 PM
I'm working on a stage, and I need to add a semi-transparent glass texture. I have a png of it imported as a CI8 texture with a palette, and the material has EnableAlphaFunction set to true, but while the brawlbox preview is fine, the texture is opaque ingame.
45  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: [Official] Brawlbox Development: The answer is no / it's in the OP on: April 12, 2013, 01:46:59 PM
sounds awesome but I think the Add shift would affect everybone and without shift only selected bone!

dont know :/ the way you think would be the best
From the way that BrawlBox handles shift, I agree. Shift tends to increase the effect of an action (camera, arrow keys in SRT fields), so it would make more sense.
