46 Help & Tutorials / Help / A texturing question on: July 13, 2010, 03:21:04 PM
I'm trying to cut down file size, so I want one texture to refer to all of the sides of a stgedit block. It uses 2 textures right now, how can I make it so it uses 1 on both places instead?
47 Help & Tutorials / Help / Questions regarding stages. on: July 06, 2010, 04:03:36 PM
1. I have a model, I go to the first bone in that model (root something) and change the y and z positions. The changes show in the collision editor, but the in the game, the camera always shows a different part, with the new collisions still applied. What can I do to actually move the model?

2. How do I change the spawn and respawn positions of the stage, if I can?
48 Help & Tutorials / Help / Stage model Replacement Questions on: July 04, 2010, 07:06:39 AM
I've gotten some working models from my zack and wiki ISO, and I want to make them into stages. Where should I start. Also, how would I move a model around on the screen (as in, move it so only a certain part is visible, the rest is off-screen)?
49 Help & Tutorials / Help / Model Importing Help on: July 03, 2010, 08:11:04 PM
Okay, so I've exported some model files from Zack and Wiki. I ran them through the automatic model hexer (The one in WackaAlpaca's tutorial). Strangely, though the model is fine the texture is messed up.

The texture it SHOULD use:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5869687/BBbug2.png

the texture it HAS:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/5869687/BBbug1.png

it's using the "toon" texture for everything. While this is easily solved in a one-texture model, There are other models that use more than one texture.

What should I do/What did I do wrong?
50 Help & Tutorials / Help / A few things I need help on on: June 28, 2010, 05:38:57 PM
1. I recently got an Okami ISO, however it's a PAL version. In WiiScrubber, I can't find any of the files (like the models) that I want. I heard that they're supposed to be .fpk but they're all .bin and .rel

2. For the partition builder for Wii Scrubber, it says I need some files or something, but it didn't have thyem in the download. Do I need to run it, and, if so, where are these files.

3. There was a link to an archive with all of the brawl files in it in one of Wackaalpaca's videos, but I can't locate it. Can someone find it, or otherwise tell me where to find original brawl files? NVM, found this.
51 Help & Tutorials / Help / Need WiiHTTP dumper download link on: June 19, 2010, 03:19:21 PM
The links I have either blackscreen or homebrew says it's not a valid app.
52 Help & Tutorials / Help / making ISOs on: June 13, 2010, 05:41:42 PM
How would I make an ISO file for a Wii game? I'd like to import some models from okami (stages and such) but I don't want to mess up. The make your own iso link in the FAQ didn't lead to anything very helpful.
53 Help & Tutorials / Help / Screenshot errors on: June 10, 2010, 06:05:58 PM
So, I'm trying to get some screenshots off of some recently made 2D stages of mine, but when I try to convert them using SSBB Bin file viewer, I get jpg errors (like #11, #58, and #68)

Any help?

Stages

Club Titiboo

Hey, a Mother 3 stage. There's very few of these, from what I've noticed.

I modeled and textured the stage myself.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iVdhOeCeKSw

Minecraft House
NOTE: THIS STAGE IS CUSTOMIZABLE!

Another minecraft stage, because I'm apparently the only one who cares enough to make them.

Shadows were applied using my python program.

You can put your own skin on that minecraft character! The video below will show you how!
Sadly, it's a flat walkoff stage D:

Grasstown/Bushlands (Cave Story)
The second area from Cave Story, Grasstown (Also known as bushlands) join's Brawl's selection!

This stage has some pretty nice gameplay. The walls make for interecting rebounds, and the long, curved hill messes with projectiles (just as it does in Cave Story)

Of course, It's an OBJ import, with the model made from scratch by me.

Aperture Science
Aperture Science from Portal. Mostly inspired by portal 1, not portal 2.

My first OBJ import stage!

Orochi's Lair
Orochi's battle area - Imported right from the game itself!

Viewtiful Joe - Rhinotown
Rhinotown from Viewtiful Joe!
Named for the reign of Hulk Davidson, the Evil Rhino.

Sadly, it's a flat walkoff stage D:

Orochi's Lair
Orochi's battle area - Imported right from the game itself!

Sasa Sanctuary
Sasa Sanctuary from Okami - Imported right from the game itself!
Note that it's not accurate to the game - the building was never near this area. However, the way the stage broke up made this format the best I could do.

Stage Builder Mod -- Zero Gravity Bubbles

My second stage builder mod!

Using the same technique as the Gravity Chamber stage, any stage builder stage you make can have zero-gravity bubbles! Inside of these bubbles, characters can stand anywhere.

They look awesome, too!

To place one, simply flip (C in game) the piece shown in the first preview pic.

The Gravity Chamber
A gameplay-based, gimmicky, fun stage.
The gimmick is that you can stand literally anywhere.
Jump to ascend, crouch to descend.
And, just for kicks, the floors are slippery!

Melee -- Great Bay
Great Bay is finally here!
NOTE:
It doesn't have tingle, the background is unanimated, and model constraints make many things (Especially the BG) look different from melee, slightly.
However, it's still the same stage you love from melee Cheesy

Doctor Wily's Fortress
Doctor Wily's fortress from Megaman 2!
You can even see Wily if you watch at the beginning of the match!

Some great music for this stage:

Minecraft Island
From the sandbox building game, Minecraft.
Comes with music track.
Goes over Final Destination.

Cave Story - Kings
The area of the throne room shown before Cave Story's title screen. Uses the larger, more detailed sprites from Cave Story Wii. The blocks are 3D, and the 2D sprites are just backdrop.

Zelda OoT - Fairy Fountain
The Fairy Fountain (Not Great Fairy Fountain) from OoT!
Done as a request.
Includes animated fairies and water.
There are 4 versions (check the file names):

Normal6pillar (as shown in the picture)
Normal4pillar (with the front 2 pillars removed for better camera)
NoFairies6pillar (No fairies, all 6 pillars)
NoFairies4pillar (No fairies, front 2 pillars removed)

Enjoy Grin

Zelda OoT: Great Fairy Fountain
The Great Fairy Fountain from LoZ: OoT. Made as a request.

Ice Temple
The inside of an icy temple. Features an ice sculpture of Mario in the middle!

The Lake of Fire
Another Zack and Wiki Import. Not a real lake of fire. Lake of Fire is the stage name from Zack and Wiki. Still though, an awesome import. Features a volcano with a face!

Paper Mario 64 - Battle Area
My first stage builder block-based stage. It's the battle area from Paper Mario 64! Thanks to Mewtwo2000 for fixing a freezing bug and changing the lighting. He even added his shadow system!

Zack And Wiki - The Fountain Guardian
The Fountain Guardian stage from Zack And Wiki!

Stage Editor Mod -- Moving Spikes
A mod that makes flipped spikes move up and down.
Mainly used for having spikes in a block without hurting anything, then having the spikes pop out.

DoodleField
The next in the Doodle Stage series, a pencil on lined paper version of Battlefield.
It includes a .rel to work over Battlefield.
It's a lot larger than the normal battlefield :/

Cave Story - Sand Zone
Turns Final Destination into a segment of the Sand Zone from Cave Story. There's a bit of a spawn bug, but it shouldn't really affect gameplay.

Google Destination
10 minute hack, turns Final Destination into the google home page.

Doodle Destination
A pencil on lined paper version of Final Destination. Textures made in Adobe Illustrator. And yes, a part does go in front of the characters, this is on purpose.

Cave Story - Boulder Chamber
My first successful stage hack (and my third attempt). It's the boulder chamber from Cave Story before the boulder is moved. I had to remove the ceiling to let KOs happen.

Coming soon

Probably a V2 of club Titiboo
55 Help & Tutorials / Help / Rainbow light in STGFINAL on: June 08, 2010, 04:23:05 PM
Well, I'm making a 2d stage replacing final destination. I have everything working -- except for getting rid of this rainbow light (you know, the one that goes on the crystal, I think). I've tried playing around with the lights, but it crashes the wii whenever I try Sad

Can I get rid of it, or is it stuck there?
