And 3D replacement for the Smash Ball is a GOOD idea. I suppose there isn't really an individual thing to represent the Elements of Harmony.
As for food.... I'm fine with them being 2D. Cakes and cupcakes and candy and rainbows and gems and daffodil sandwiches and hay, apples and apple pies and apple cider and apples and apples.... that's not hard at all XD
Yeah, I probably won't. Although I have been editing my handy maxscript to take care of a lot of tedious work for me, such as selecting all the bones or polygons and exporting animations. Not sure what else I should automate.
All new fans are welcome. I still don't have much of an idea for the Smash Ball, so ideas are all fair game. That's not too bad of an idea either, it's a rather good one.
By the way, has anyone noticed how rather bad the wing models are? I'll be redoing those, much closer to RivenChan's 3d models than KPShadowSquirrel's.
I just looked at soft selection: It only works with one model at a time. And Edit Normals doesn't allow for soft selection. It's possible to write a Maxscript to do it and imitate the soft selection, but I don't think it's worth the effort.
You know, if there was a way to select all the vertices in the same location, then I could write a Maxscript to auto-average all of the normals for me.
But if I'm going to be making a program to make it easier, then it should be writing Brawlbox to export the normals in the .DAE export. They hold normals don't they?

And as far as my research into the Melee hacking scene goes, retrieving stage bones is a no-no. The framecount would have to be estimated, sorry. side-by-side video comparison.... for the lose....

I take offense to this! I specifically programmed undo capabilities into the Model Previewer and Stage Collision Editor.... for basic movement. Should it include something else?
i also noticed, when u open a motion file for a model, even if u dont change a thing, it'll ask u to save the changes, no big deal, but its still a bug ^^
That was the "dirty" thing he mentioned. Dirty means the model has been changed and needs rebuilt, which is why it was rebuilding too often.
