Many thanks to DSX for providing the original textures, that really looks so much better. Now the finetuning begins: I just hope I added the textures correctly... especially when it comes to the emeralds.
Oh, that would be great if you could get me them. As for the Online Training stage, I don't actually intend to import that one, but it uses the same base stage as the upcoming Miiverse stage, so that would be helpful to have.
As for Gaur Plains, looking really great. Though TBH, I'm not a fan of the stage itself, it's just such a big and jumping heavy stage. Nontheless, good job.
No pictures, but fixed the lightning issues. If nothing else comes up, I might get the stage done today.
Anyway, does the 3DS Max import script and texture converter also work for stage files? I'm guessing yes, but just making sure. Because if so, who do I have to annoy nicely ask for some of the actual files, namely GCO and Online Training?
Wish I could agree, but fact is, I mostly just took existing textures and modified the slightly to fit. Like, for example, the grass texture is from Mario Kart Wii, just with stars added. It was mostly intended for placeholder purposes.
Peach would make more sense, though as a Zelda user I'm tempted to vote for her.
Anyway, getting there. Gotta fix the lightrays, some additiona touch-ups and then proper collisions, but unless someone could provide the real GCO textures, that's gonna be it, as I have no means to get those files myself.
Are there actually any differences model wise when it comes to the returning stages, like Hyrule Temple or Castle Siege? Part of me thinks it's a direct copy from Brawl, maybe with some touched up textures. But then again, Kongo Jungle 64 also seems to use the old N64 sprites, so maybe not even that.
I envy your UV/Texture skills, Giry. My textures look like [censored]in' [censored] next to yours.
Ah, but you shouldn't. It's not like I made the textures to begin with. The castle is just a recolored Mario brick block and the window is coming straight from a Wii U snapshot. The rest isn't even textured yet, just vertex colored.
