The crystals are still giving me a headache, but other than that, I'm pretty much done:

Making progress on GCO as well:

Still have quite a bit to do.

Many thanks to DSX for providing the original textures, that really looks so much better. Now the finetuning begins:

I just hope I added the textures correctly... especially when it comes to the emeralds.

i can get the files for ya, i already have the stage put together, just needs the textures applied.

anyways... who wants some new gaur plains preview? :p

Oh, that would be great if you could get me them. As for the Online Training stage, I don't actually intend to import that one, but it uses the same base stage as the upcoming Miiverse stage, so that would be helpful to have.

As for Gaur Plains, looking really great. Though TBH, I'm not a fan of the stage itself, it's just such a big and jumping heavy stage. Nontheless, good job.

No pictures, but fixed the lightning issues. If nothing else comes up, I might get the stage done today.

Anyway, does the 3DS Max import script and texture converter also work for stage files? I'm guessing yes, but just making sure. Because if so, who do I have to annoy nicely ask for some of the actual files, namely GCO and Online Training?

You are an impresive texturer OwO
Wish I could agree, but fact is, I mostly just took existing textures and modified the slightly to fit. Like, for example, the grass texture is from Mario Kart Wii, just with stars added. It was mostly intended for placeholder purposes.

I gotcha covered Taigiry, I just gotta get home
Awesome, you're really a big help. Thanks.

Peach would make more sense, though as a Zelda user I'm tempted to vote for her.

Anyway, getting there. Gotta fix the lightrays, some additiona touch-ups and then proper collisions, but unless someone could provide the real GCO textures, that's gonna be it, as I have no means to get those files myself.

I guess you don't need to wear a belt skirt anymore when you go super.

Anyway, some more progress on my end as well. GCO still needs a lot of texture work.

DK's the only sensible choice.

Anyway, finally went ahead and made the grass and ground textures. Still gotta fix the entire right side though.

Nah, I don't plan to make any model changes at least not initially. Maybe I will make a different version later, not sure.

Anyway, a little easy side project of mine, nothing too fancy.

Well, color me surprised, I actually didn't expect them to revamp old stages. Guess I really should start to wear my glasses...

Anyway, I started to preliminarily texture the GCO Omega version. Obviously they will be improved later.

Are there actually any differences model wise when it comes to the returning stages, like Hyrule Temple or Castle Siege? Part of me thinks it's a direct copy from Brawl, maybe with some touched up textures. But then again, Kongo Jungle 64 also seems to use the old N64 sprites, so maybe not even that.

Like this?
Lemme send you them, like it was said before textures can't be ripped but you seem good at texturing yourself so I have no worries
Yeah, that would help so much, especially the grass at the side, which would be a pain to custom make. That would be much appreciated.

And yeah, I'm aware of that textures can't be ripped now, that's not really a problem for  me, though.

Wait, Smash U models can be ripped now? If I could get ahold of the 2 GCO stages, that would make things so much easier, but alas, I have no clue how.

Speaking of the GCO, apologies for being so quiet, didn't know how to continue, but here's some new stuff.

I envy your UV/Texture skills, Giry. My textures look like [censored]in' [censored] next to yours.
Ah, but you shouldn't. It's not like I made the textures to begin with. The castle is just a recolored Mario brick block and the window is coming straight from a Wii U snapshot. The rest isn't even textured yet, just vertex colored.
