This isn't exactly asking for help as much as it is asking a question, but I figure this is the best place for it.
I was just wondering, how well does Project M handle Net-Play? I have some friends who are getting new computers who want to try it out with me, but we much prefer playing Project M to Vanilla Brawl. Does much change if M is active? Or is it even possible to do so?
Hex packets don't seem to work when installing them anymore: and I seem to have that problem with ANY program I use to try to insert it. Now matter what the program, no matter what the hex pack, old or new, they all freeze in match when they make a sound. Only .swandz work.
Somehow I screwed up Pit's sound effects when I was implementing other sounds, and I did it unknowingly. Does anyone know the offset where his voice starts AND ends? Or, if you're feeling generous, could you put Pit's sound in a hex packet and give it to me? It would really help.
Yes, I know I've made a topic about this already, but I really need help... Long story short, Pit isn't working when I play hacked brawl: He either freezes upon entrance, or freezes the moment I press anything. It's not any moveset or models, as I can't play as normal Pit as well. I use Riivolution (The 'for gecko users' version), which may be the reason it's not working (It works fine on normal Gecko), so it might be the .XML I'm using.However, I've tried multiple .xmls, and the problem still persists. Anyone know what it could be? Can you link me to an .xml that works for you? I'd be forever in your debt if you could help me...
For some reason, Pit, as well as any hacks on him, freeze the game before I can use him in the match. I use Riivolution, so is it possible it's the .xml file? Is he corrupted? any help would be great.
So, long story short, I've been trying to get the hex packet for Toon Link's voice using the one over Link in the Brawl Vault. But I keep encountering a freeze in my game. Actually, a lot of things happened. I think part of the reason is it's not really a hex packet... it's a .txt file. I've gotten many other voices to work, but this one is being a [censored]. Here's a few things that have happened from the 6 times I've tried to implement it:
1. It didn't work at all, instead I was greeted with static sounds 2. The game froze any time a sound effect played 3. Some sound effects worked, but several still caused the game to freeze
At first I thought it was the Moveset I was using: but even when I took that off and just used Pik's motionetc. it still froze.
This is something I've always wondered ever since I first heard of Brawl Hacking. Is there a code of any kind that makes it so you only play as one character in subspace? In other words, a way to only choose 1 character intead of the usual 4.

So I was using Toon Link's Skull Kid voice for use with DO's Skullkid moveset. However, I'd like to change it back to Toon link, without removing any of my other voices. What should I do?
For some reason, the moveset isn't working for me. None of Tifa's new animations are used, I can't throw people with her grab, and her up B has no beam. Does anyone know what the problem is? Is it because I use Riivolution? I use the file patch code Set-up by BeyondYou. Anyone have the same problem?
Anyways, I've been trying to replace Cloud's In-battle name and logo using pictures from the FFVII Cloud pack. However, I don't know where to put them. It said to put them in an info.brres, but I looked everywhere and can't find the file. I also thought I Heard you had to put them in the Info2 folder, but that didn't work either. Soooo... Where do they go? D:
I'm still trying to use codes on Riivolution. I used The n00b guide, and it told me to place my .gct in the riivolution foulder on the root of my SD card. I'm using Beyondyou's Riivolution xml, so I have the config foulder, the code handeler, and my RSBE01.gct. But still, none of my codes work.
Considering I've been hacking for almost a year, I should know the answer to this by now, but... I don't.
Are their any ways to use codes (Stage expansion, Ike/Cloud ports, etc.) In Riivolution? I'd really like to get the best of both worlds. I already use both, but if Riivolution could support codes, I'd use it in a heartbeat.
