Why not ask if they are editable? They are, but not fully understood yet.

I dont see why people ask how to solve the problem. It tells you right there, reduce the pallets and simplify the patterns. Try reducing all the pallets by 10% and if that doesnt work, then just put a few textures into gray scale mode.

Well then do exactly what it says.

I suggest reducing all the pallet's on the indexed textures by roughly 10% less.

If its still too big, put some textures in gray scaled mode.

Use STASH.

you could have just said: File > Save As > ***+*.tga  (make sure the drop down box says targa).

SSBBarc can insert improperly sometimes. If you want i can fix the EOF for you (the pointers will be screwed though, so it probably wont help), or you can insert them manaually (i am willing to do it for you, just upload the original TPLS, the edited TPLS and the original .pac/.brres files).

"--001.pac - Peanut Texture
--001.pac - Link's Bomb
--001.pac - Peach's Turnips
--001.pac - Broken Eddible Peanuts
--001.pac - Snake's Grenade
--001.pac - Toon Link's Bombs"

How does that part work exactly?  I'm going around collecting item hacks that I want to combine into a future common3, and one of the hacks is for snake's grenade, so is it 001.pac or 064.pac?

Thanks for letting me know, i corrected it.
909  Help & Tutorials / General Tutorials / How To Edit Stickers & Trophies on: June 23, 2009, 06:27:46 PM
What You Need:

A hex editor (I suggest Hex Workshop)
ASH (and basic knowledge on how to use it)
SSBExtract
Sticker/Trophy you want to edit (they can all be downloaded here: http://www.mediafire.com/?zykk3mjjwmj )
A dummy.pac file (can be downloaded here: http://www.mediafire.com/?mnvwyn1mujm )
Computer calculator

Guide:

1. Open your dummy.pac and sticker/trophy.brres file in your hex editor. Copy and paste everything from your sticker.brres file into the end of your dummy.pac file.

2. Open your computer calculator and put in your sticker/trophy.brres file size in bytes (right clock > properties > size (not size on disk)), then click on hex (this option can be seen only when the calculator is in advanced mode) In your dummy.pac there should be an 2 bytes near the start that say "12 34", replace these 2 numbers with the numbers/letters in your calculator. File > save as > *insertnamehere*.pac .

3. Open your new sticker/trophy.pac in ASH. Edit and compile like normal.

4. Run your _new.pac you got from ASH through SSBExtract. Rename that 000.brres file so it has the same name as your original sticker.brres file.

YOUR DONE!!!

NOTE: When loading these files, put them in pf > toy > seal/fig (fig is for trophies and seal is fore stickers) .

If you are having trouble with this, PM me or post here and I will try fix the guide up.
