Ok, I see, thinking too high in the clouds. Thank you for the information, though.
It probably would be possible if somebody who actually knew what they were doing (like actually knowing how to flat out program, for example...) were to try, they could probably figure it out.
After all people have made codes for costume specific MotionEtc files, so I think it's possible. (But most people who could have done it have probably moved on from Brawl modding, to Smash 4 or Ultimate by now...)
It's possible... but as far as I can tell the only way to do it effectively would be to put ALL of their sound files into a single sfx file, and make the PSA use the different sounds manually depending on what palette swap you use.
However this is extremely limited because it would likely use a lot of file space.
Unfortunately.... I don't know much about modding projectiles, I haven't experimented enough. But if you were to change their models, and maybe their physics a little, you could probably figure out how to do some cool stuff...
It's nearly impossible to make new projectiles. The only way to do it is to change already existing projectiles, such as Mario's fireball. But if you're using a PSA of a character that doesn't have any projectiles, then you're out of luck.
do you have any plans to Re-release ruby rose or at least violet (ie your oc) because all of the RWBY based characters are forever rid from brawlvault.
The ones I had before were made a long time ago, so they're not very good. I'll try to make better ones soon. I'm also want to make movesets for them, but it'll take a while before I finish (mostly since I've hardly even started yet :/ ). Who knows, maybe I'll be able to rig the actual rwby models onto the characters (don't get your hopes up though).
Does anyone have a BrawlEx pack thats just regular Brawl, but with the newest BrawlEx CSSRoster files stuff???
I'm working on a modpack, but so far all I have is Brawl Minus to work with (I tried multiple other mods as a base, brawl minus is the only one that has brawlex without Project M, project m is too hard to work with, and the play style is annoying so yeah). Brawl Minus also doesn't have the newest versions of BrawlEx.
If anyone has one, or knows of one, it'd be nice. Or if someone can help me add then new stuff to my mod, that'd be great.
(Also, I'm using the hackless method, so only 2gb max, and no homebrew or dolphin stuff).
Since this got bumped, do you know where Lilith put all of Mario's Ultimate animations? Aside from the new taunts?
You have to download the KitsuBrawl Ex build they made. (It has all sorts of cool things in it. And Lillith recently added new Ultimate animations to Doctor Mario as well, so I'll be sure to work on him soon too! ^u^ )
so you're using Brawlex but replace existing characters and not adding anymore slots?
Yeah, I can't figure out how to get new slots to work because I don't know how to get the coding right. I just used Brawl Minus as a base, so in doesn't have codes to support any of the fancy newer CSS.bx files and such. Which is unfortunate, but it's what I've got to work with.
There's this thing called BrawlEx, it allows you to somewhere around a total of a hundred or so (maybe more), I don't know how to use it very well, and I certainly do not know how to set it up. It require some slightly complicated coding that I don't understand, but they have tutorials and things about it here on the forum.
Thank you so much for the update to Mafia Mario. Didn't even know they had gotten more animations from Ultimate ported, and his down-air feels much better now.
I only had two things to suggest again. First being the hitboxes on his Ultimate animation F-Air. I think they're still the hitboxes to Mario's normal F-Air which makes it very hard to actually hit with..
The second being that when Mario jumps off Cappy after hitting a foe with it, he goes flying very far very fast. Could that be toned down a bit, or kept like the original version of the Cap Throw? Wonderful work so far though.
Yeah, his forward air is a bit awkward, I'll try to fix it, but so far I haven't been to good with making good hitboxes. I can slow down the Cappy jump though.
Judging by which moves you want as his specials, I'd say mario would be the best choice, he has FLUDD, the cape, and the fireball, all of which gives you a lot to work with.
