3901  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Problem With ZSS Texture on: July 05, 2010, 07:18:04 PM
So what exactly were those changes you made?
Nothing really other than replacing the 'body' image in the second red link with the 'body' image in the first red link.
3902  Help & Tutorials / Help / Problem With ZSS Texture on: July 05, 2010, 07:09:04 PM
Okay, I've done everything that has been said before. But for some reason my ZSS texture/model hack freezes the game after I select the stage! I was wondering if anyone here could help me figure out what's wrong by testing to see if it's just my game or not.

edited odel + my texture:
http://www.mediafire.com/?2giwhnjxntn = download the PAC file
http://www.mediafire.com/?wwayjz4wbrz = download the PCS file
Original models before I applied my texture to the second download.
http://www.mediafire.com/?mio5d2g3oj2 = download to my original texture (both PAC  and PCS)
http://www.mediafire.com/?mio5d2g3oj2 = download to the texture/model I tried to apply my texture too.

It was working fine untill I applied some changes to it well not to my texture but to someone else's model to see if the texture would work on it.

I seriously did try everything, including reducing the actual size of the pics to almost nothing so the file size would be smaller, but that didn't work either X_X Also there's no bzzzzzzzzzt noise either when the game freezes up if it helps.

Did you modify the character select screen by any means?  If that's not it, check your ZSS texture and the file size of its PCS and PAC files.
Ah I actually have no problem XP I just needed to redo the textures from scratch and remove the aditional costumes
BTW do you know when the Vertibox 2.0 is coming out?

Hey, I have this very nice ZSS Texture I've made, but it just doesn't want my game to work. Any mode I try it doesn't get past the character select stage. the game just freezes.

I used the textures a lot online today, but the ones for Peach and Zelda Caused me no problems. However this new ZSS texture just  well you know XP I don't know what's causing it either, it was working fine before I tried to do it with multiple costumes with custom textures on it.

Ah, sorry I misunderstood the question.
If you need any help just let me know, and I'll see what I can do.

Yeah, for one, is there any way to change the models without vertexing? Or is that tool that's comming out at some point going to be that simple click and change kinda thing?
Also made my first set of texture hacks. The Samus one sucks, but the peach and zelda one I'm satisfied with mostly.

There are guides for this kind of thing
To make a stage texture, you need to open the stage in Brawlbox (If you don't know what this is, I highly recommend that you check out those guides). Once you have done this, navigate to texturedata[0], export anything you want to edit, and alter it to your heart's content in the image editor of your choice (my editor of choice is GIMP).

As for models (I'm assuming you mean vertexing), the methods that are out there aren't all that easy, or functional. You could try Stickman's tutorial if you really want to learn, otherwise I'd just wait 'til DasDonkeyVertexBox 2.0 comes out.

If you want to make 2d stages (take any random picture and turn it into a stage), check out WackaAlpaca on YouTube. His tutorials are the best thing out there for n00bs.

I meant like the actual terms for everything though lol But I'll just wait for Vertexbox 2.0 and maybe check some tutorials out X_X

Hey can anyone help me out with a few things? I would like some advice on how a beginner with like no coding knawlage whatsoever could hack/edit the character models. I mean like shape wise and everything. Not really editing how they move and stuff. I also want to know how to make a whole new image like the texture images. As in making a complete texture from scratch with a preloaded image of something/someone.

Yeah I did a quick test of a photoshop of ZSS's texture in brawl. It's my first ever hack so I didn't change much except having fun with the gradiant tool. Any tips on manipulating the photos better would be awesome. Just some lame stuff right now, but who knows what the future holds Tongue

First Hack: Rainbow Samus: Description: Zero suit samus wants to show her new pajamas to the world in the middle of a fight!
Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?unyytwngmmt
Note: Yeah it's lame, so what, I quick tested it and it works :3 I'll work on it so it looks more uniform though.

I have lots of freetime on my hands. so I may try to make some more fun (but simple) textures today with my favorite characters. I'm gonna make a whole collection and showcase it on youtube, even if it's lame X_X
On a side note, the texture only took me like a minute lol
Be sure to download and test it for me :3

Ahh sorry lol So let me get this straight.
To USE texture hacks I need the brawl iso on my memory card or just the data about the textures and stuff for the characters and stages (since that's all I'm really interested in atm) and place the pac and pas files (For the spasific character)in the apropriate folder?
and to make textures I just extract the photos of the characters and modify those with brawlbox on the computer?
PS: sorry for such noobish questions, this's my first time trying texture hacks either way.
3912  Welcome / Rules / Feedback / Brawl Vault / Re: (July 18) SD Loaded Textures! NTSC & PAL! Now with music. on: June 30, 2010, 01:24:36 PM
then what should I use and where can I find it XP I downloaded a few textures to try out but I want to make my own as well. I'm starting with characters/basic texture hacking since I'm new at it, but if I don't have the brawl ISO or at least just the stuff for the characters and stages datawise I can't do anything :s
I also wanna know how to use texture hacks that are already made X_X

3915  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: How to get BrawlBox Working in Ubuntu / OSX on: June 27, 2010, 04:28:14 PM
Jack. Would you happen to know what the **** this is about?

My mother's laptop does a Symantec Auto-Protect Scan on my flash drive, and found this in the .CMD

"Risk Found: Infostealer.Gampass"

Seeing those words has made me pissed, and I want an explanation. A good one.

You can probably fix it by going to the security settings and turning off firewall for startup programs.
