Maybe try looking in fighter.pac? :/ I mean you don't control them in brawl but they still fight so... Or the file that has all the effects for normal stuff.

The only thing I request, is something I thought you said you were gonna do before the project went dead before.(or at least I think we were?) Could you pretty please animate link's sword bones so that they follow the punches with his left hand, actually just so it follows his left hand in general for any punching moves? I ask this because the sword glow could be put to good use for a certain graphic effect I'm after. Just have the back end of the sword glow bone (the second one that you'd put in the psa event) follow the left hand N and the part that marks the start of the trail (the first bone you'd put in the psa event) follow the left have bone.

You would use it for everything that requieres you to use the special hitbox flags. Like for example, if you want a hitbox to hit more than once (repeating over a set number of frames). Or have it not be just as sphere but make it longer. Or if you want the attack to always send the enemies where your character faces (or the other way). Anything that is in the special flags.
And the direct flag. I'm not sure. I have the theory that if a hitbox is direct you can hit the metalbox with it and get it. If it is not, you can't get metalbox this way. That's something that happened while coding Hadoken but could have been just my imagination.
Huh interesting, I wonder if I can replicate Links triforce slash thing (not the triforce slash itself, but the beam that he fires that freezes people in place ) myself at will. *goes off to smashboards for research*
Roll of Die is a variable that has multiple if statements. Each time the event is called up it rolls a die (the chances can be anything, like one in ten chance, five in twenty chance and so on) if it lands on one thing this happens and if it lands on another thing that happens.

seriously though, thanks for making bone id's simpler, and taking out the need of hex numbers and such. Although I have a question. What does the "Direct" flag do in the flags for a hitbox?
I'm really curious on what special hitboxes are for too.
