Okay, so....the original models hands were far from t-posed. However I found another pair of hands that are from the same game and I've decided to just retexture those. however there's a bit of a problem.

I need to make This

Look like this(texture wise)

I may have to just make a new material but the way the image is mapped is kind of confusing on how to set it up.

Look sense people seem to think that asking in threads that people might actually know about this issue is called spamming, I'm going to post this here. I don't expect any serious answers either cause from my experience the whole "help" part of this forum is kind of ignored....

Look at this in Brawlbox: with the "fixed" eyes.

But in Brawl even after I fix the eyes using all the methods mentioned they look like this.

Method 1: Export Ikes original eye materials and rename them after replacing the glitched ones. No change
Method 2: Export Ike's eye polygons and import them. BB crashes when I try to import the .obj...
Method 3: Create new materials and make the references the same as the original. No change...

Seriously...this is starting to tick me off....so yeah...help....?

8  Help & Tutorials / Help / Capture card dropping SERIOUS numbers of frames :/ on: February 09, 2012, 03:12:23 PM
Yeah, I am like recording this brawl hack of mine, and usually my capture card works fine.

Now for no apparent reason, it's dropping frames like [censored]. I mean like 2420 frames in 2 minutes while it still records the audio just [censored]ing fine! =_=

All I did was move the wires from the connector a little (not removing just moving the wires from the pinnacle studio box out from underneath something) and it started doing this.

Normally the video preview keeps playing even though it says it's droping a couple of frames. Now it's freezing mid video and droping 3-12 frames per second =_=;

If this can't be fixed with technical help, then I'll have to get a new pinnical movie box, I've had the one I got since Pinnical Studio 12 :/ that's a long time....it might just be old...*shrug*

PSA Moveset: This is the final moveset planned for Krystal.

AAA Combo: Three Simple Swings of the staff, they'll be the same as the staff swings in Starfox Adventures when you simply tap the A button.
First A: 5% Damage with medium knockback and no special flags
Second A: 6% Damage with medium knockback and no special flags.
Third A: Same as the first a but with stronger knockback and a Sword Flag

Side A: The attack in starfox adventures when you press A while holding the control stick to the left or right (The spinning Kick)
Damage: 7% Knockback: Moderate Flag: None

Down A: Same as Fox's with more damage and a little slower
Damage: 7% Knockback: Moderate Flag: None

Up A: Same as Marth's Up Smash Attack
Damage: 10% Knockback: Strong Flag: None

Side Smash: The forward swing from starfox adventures when you press A and hold the control stick forward.
Damage: 8% Knockback: Moderate Flag: Sword

Up Smash: Same as Fox's

Down Smash: Same as Fox's

Up Special: Staff rocket boost, the same as starfox adventures. Will have hitboxes on liftoff.
Damage: 15% Knockback: moderate Flag: Fire

Side Special: Frost blaster, same as starfox adventures, the attack will continue untill you stop tapping B.
Damage: 3% each hit, up to 4 hits in a cycle. Knockback: light Flags: Ice (duh)

Neutral Special: Fire Blaster, Same as starfox adventures, tap B to rapidly shoot balls of fire at the opponent.
Damage: 7% each fireball, up to  fireballs in a cycle. Knockback: Moderate Flags: Fire (Duh)

Down Special: Ground Quake, Same as the starfox adventures ground quake. Hold B to rise up into the air while charging and release B to send out a shockwave of energy that knocks the opponent off their feet.
Damage: 15% fully charged Knockback: Moderately strong Flags: Bury

Okay so let's say I'm a big bad vertexer/importer. I'm finished with my rigging and spent god knows how long I've spent making that rig absolutely perfect to X characters boneset. I'm nearly ready to fix up the materials and export it so I can import it into brawlbox, and into brawl shortly afterward.

But Wait! Oh no, I noticed that a hair vertex is out of place! But it's not affected by the rig! I have to start all over just to fix that one vertex? Nope, just follow these steps and you can vertex away as you please =3

1: Rig your model if you haven't done so already. (I'm assuming you've done this since you're reading this tutorial)
2: Click the polygon that you want to vertex edit, but you don't want to loose the rigging.
3: Right Click the skin modifier in the modifier box for that polygon.
4 (IMPORTANT!): In the right-click dialogue that comes up. Make sure you check the following options. "Preserve Custom Attributes" and "Retain SubAnim Custom Attributes" the first is on by default, the latter one you'll have to click manually.
5: Click Cut on the right-click dialogue menu
6: Proceed with the vertex editing as you desire. then SAVE YOUR WORK
7 (Also IMPORTANT): Click in that same polygon's modifier box once more and right click it instead of clicking "Paste" click "Paste Instanced" make absolutely sure you click Paste Instanced

And poof, there you go ^+^
Also, make sure you weight the vertexes you want to edit to a different bone, preferably the previous bone in the chain so that it has 100% control of those vertexes you want to edit (For example if I want to vertex the hand or fingers I'll weight all the hand/finger vertexes to the respective Hand N bone) before you right click and cut the skin modifier. That way you only have to re-rig those bones for those particular vertexes on the polygon and not the entire polygon/rig Cheesy

Model: LINK’s Starfox Assault Model with FireKing220’s staff model

Character: Zelda as a “solo” psa

Port-import Progress: 0% complete.

Permission Granted: Fireking has already given me permission to use his staff model in my Krystal psa’s. Waiting on LINK to give me permission to use his Krystal model.

Overall Stats:
Ground Mobility: 5/10
Air Mobility: 6/10
Weight Class: 5/10

Basic Combo: Swinging animations will be the same as in starfox adventures.

A Attack: A swing from the bottom left to the top right with the staff, just like in starfox adventures.
Damage: 3% Knockback:  Light Angle: straight forward. Flags: None, they will hit ground and air

A A Attack: A swing from the left to the right while leaning forward, just like in starfox adventures.
Damage: 2% Knockback: decent Angle: straight forward. Flags: None, they will hit ground and air

A A A Attack: N/A she will have a stronger side A to account for this.
Tilts: Some more Staff Swings.

U-Tilt: A swing upward that’s quick and easy to land.
Damage: 2% Knockback: Decent Angle: Straight Up Flags: None, will hit ground and air

S-Tilt: A strong swing forward from the while taking one step forward, just as it is in Starfox adventures.

D-Tilt: Probably just like links Down Tilt

Smashes: Yup, you guessed it more staff stuff

S-Smash: A mighty swing of the staff, same as the ‘charged’ attack from starfox adventures.
Damage: 5% Knockback: Average Angle: Straight forward Flags: might use the stun flag

U-Smash: A swing upward, press A mid-swing to do another swing.
Damage: Both Hits do 10% Damage Knockback: strong Angle Straight Up Flags: None

D-Smash: The same as link’s Down smash but with a staff.

Air A’s: All of these will be ported from various characters.

Specials: This is the best I can do with what I have

Neutral Special: Ground Quake
Animation: Same as starfox adventures.
Damage: 15% and buries opponents into the ground

Down Special: Taunt the enemy with a cute tease while doing a bit of damage if they’re too close. Also change your Side B by doing so.
Damage: 5% Knockback: light Angle: straight down: Flags: electric

Side Special: Fire/Ice Blaster
It’s time to whip out the most commonly used power in starfox adventures! Tap B to continue using this special move and deal damage. Doesn’t hurt that much but makes for a great shield breaker and ranged attack. It is set to Fire Blaster by default.

Ice Blast: A cold chill of frosty wind that does little to no knockback.
Damage: 2% and it can be looped by tapping B Knockback: hardly any at all Angle: straight forward: Flags: Ice

Fire Blast: tap B to shoot fireballs at the opponent or hold b to control the fireball while standing still.

Controlled fireball: Same as dins fire

Rapid shot Fireball:
Damage: 5% Knockback: Medium Angle: forward and up Flag: fire…duh

Up Special: Rocket Boost
Animation: Same as starfox adventures, you will be able to go straight up, diagonally forward and up or diagonally backward and up.

Final Smash: Mega Quake
Powered up version of ground quake. Release an insanely powerful shockwave of energy that buries enemies and sends them plunging downward if they’re in the air. Massive Range and damage all around!

Do note that I have not thoroughly tested this method yet, and I don't know how many of you guys know it already.  Im srs here But hell, it's a nice little trick so I'll post it here.

What You Need
A Humanoid Model (preferably with two arms and two legs XD)
3DS Max 2010 and above (if you're importing a model into brawl)
A set of bones from brawl. or a set of bones in general :l

1: First move around your brawl characters bones to fit inside the model, I'm assuming you've done so already if you're rigging it *shrug*
2: Click the left or right polygon for arms and legs (I don't know if it works on whole meshes yet) and right click the skin modifier AFTER you've finished rigging said arm or leg.
3: Copy that skin modifier using right click/Copy
4: Unclick the polygon you're working on and click the polygon on the opposite leg/arm polygon.
5: Click on the skin modifier for the right/left leg or arm that isn't already rigged
6: Scroll down to the toolbox where all the mirror paremiters are.
7: Find the Mirror paste button and make sure you still have your skin modifier selected, then click Mirror Paste.

And there you go  Kirby Dance You may still have to do a little tweeking to get both sides the same(On my character I just needed to fix the foot on the pasted side) but overall it should save quite a bit of time on rigging in general.

So I'm playing okami and I get myself an interesting idea.

I say to myself "Hey, these weapons would look cool in brawl!" :3

So I got me an Okami ISO and used the ungodly complex ripping methods and found a bunch of files :3

And so now we have the first of these fun ideas, Ike with the Thunder Strike Glaive Cheesy

Notes: This will eventually come with a mini-psa to change his specials and smashes and his directional ground A moves. I also know the eyes are messed up so don't complain about those. I will fix those when I can get them working right on my computer.

I'm kinda disappointed that people got in a rush and decided to make their own psa for rock lee Im srs here
I have said thousands of times that I was going to wait for PSA + Brawlbox to make it! You're welcome to make your own but it just kinda peeved me off a bit since it was sort of my idea in the first place :/

Aniverge is going to be helping me with the PSA once he finishes Sasuke and Mario. I don't know how long it's going to take, but with the two of us working together it shouldn't take too long.
