Okay, I FINALLY got BB working harmlessly on my computer again without that (@#$%^#$) JIT debugging error [censored]ting me every five seconds. And I'm going to try stage hacking, since I fail at vertex hacking. My first stage will be fairly simple, however I learn quick (not UBER quick, but I'm quick on the uptake once I get it.) and I was wondering if anyone would share some tips for beginners? Here's a few things I'd like to know off the bat.

1: how to make an animated background, not a complex one, just simple changes in the colors of it. Like how Tabuu's arena's background changes it's design throughout the fight. (Though my background will be much simpler)
2: How to add a character to the background of the Stage and animate said character. ( Ganondorf floating around in Mewtwo's Ganondorfs Tower Stage is about as advanced as I want to get here)
3: How to "animate" a platform so it moves up and down.

Also, I will be using Mewtwo's Stage Builder Block method for most of my stages at the start, so hats off to him on all those hacks that I make from this method, and of course to who made the tutorial for doing this.

Okay so I've decided that I want to try my hand at actually vertexing a character. And Since there's nothing real special about him (other than the texturing) I thought I'd give speed racer a try. He's one of my favorite old school heroes with the exception of Optimus Prime and Superman to name a few. For those who don't know which speed racer I'm doing, it's this one.

The reason I picked speed racer for my first character vertex is cause, well...there's not much to him really, other than the helmet and jacket rim. I'm pretty sure he's going to end up going over Captain Falcon, cause he already has a helmet to begin with. anyways just thought I'd ask for the hell of it Tongue

Which is pissing me off because all the other motionetc files work just fine. I can't get anywhere untill this [censored] is figured out. So yeah Help much?

Dammit!

I've tried everything, honestly everything to port Zero Suit Samus over to Sheik or Peach. But I can't get peach to load at all. However sheik does load.

Problem one: My main problem was getting the hair to animate, but this was surprisingly solved by renaming zerosuit samus's fitmotion etc to FitSheik motion etc. Of course it froze when I tried to use a special, but other than that it's just a simple matter of porting all the needed animations :l

Problem Two: She honestly jumps, punches, falls, etc just fine. But when you try to walk two things happen.

1: her player hud (the little arrow above your head) refuses to move, as well as her shadow stretches.
2: she snaps back to her point of origin after the animation 'ends' technically speaking.

I tried renaming trans N in the animations that got messed up (since the other animations worked fine) but that just ended up in me getting nowhere again =_=

So honestly I can't get this to work...

Somebody can either A: help me solve this problem or B: port ZSS to someone else (preferibly with a high psa file size limit)

Okay, so it works just fine when I open a normal fitname00.pac with it, but when I try to edit a pre-hexed character with it, all AIS does (for the mdlo data, for the texturedata works just fine :l ) is create a rich text document entitled log and nothing happens. Umm...help?

Okay, so I ported ZSS's model over to sheik, so she could be the human form for my nexious. I have it that everything works fine now, EXCEPT the walking animations! And probably the running ones too. The player hood doesn't move when you walk forward and she snaps back after the animation ends to where you started. Any Hints?

On a side note, I looked at some of the walking/running etc animations. And the last frames of the ones that deal with walking and running are yellow in the Z translation?

Okay, what I want to do is swap Samus's model with Marth, but still keep the sword and cape, so I can kinda make a female marth character. (Actually just a female char with a sword Tongue)

Marth has a total of 71 bones in his model, and ZSS has 67 is it possible to swap just the models but keep the cape and sword?

My magic mario psa will be simple, godly, and a quick psa to pick-up-and-play. No extensive graphics that give you elipsy or sneaky tricks to make him stronger. He's relitivally straightforward and will eventually be VERY fun to play as. For those who love to challenge Level Nine CPU's this mario psa will be just right for you!

New Moves: 4 I have temporary in-game animations for now, but I would like to have some custom animations if someone is willing to do them.

Forward Smash: Aura Jab: For now, it's Zeldas forward smash. But if someone would be kind enough to animate it. Mario first crouches down slightly, pulling both fists back for his start animation. For his hold animation his arms vibrate up and down, like he's storing some massive energy inside. For the attack he rabidly jabs the enemy with the tips of his fingers. The attack comes so hard and fast that you can't see him moving his left and right hands back and fourth to stab his opponent.

Damage: 10-35% damage

Up Smash: Falco's up smash, he swings his leg forward and up just like falco. attempting to strike you with three consecutive hits.
Damage: 12-25% damage

Down Smash: Fox's Down smash with an odd animation glitch in which he spins around in a circle while standing up. (It looked kinda cool in game so I kept it)
Damage: 14-30%

Up A: Zelda's Up A animation. He sends out a magic field that zaps you repeatedly

All other moves simply have higher damage, aura effects, and doubled(in size)hitboxes.

Plans for version 2:
Once mario takes  85% damage, you'll be able to use your up taunt to enter storm mode.
Differences:
The moves are faster and have more knockback, but slightly less damage.
Some attacks will strike repeatedly (usually 3 times in a row within a few seconds)
He'll run faster, slow down time with his neutral B and regenerate health at 1% per second while guarding.
All attacks will do electric damage

Once he takes 175% you'll be able to use your down taunt to enter Shadow mode.
Differences:
Neutral B replaced with ganondorf's neutral B
All attacks do around 10-45% damage
All attacks have deadly knockback.
Down B Replaced with Zelda's Neutral B
All attacks have Darkness Element.

This is a project I'm naming RunmasterMario, mainly because I used some rune symbols on his texture and also his attacks will be simi-magic related. Anyway here's the skinny on it for now. Just a quick demo video of the unfinished version one.

Attacks will be added as they are completed and fully functional.

Attacks: Normal Mode
Up A: Marths up a animation, he shoots out a forcefield of aura-ness above and slightly to the side of him. Does a possible (if all hits connect) 22% damage

Side Up A: Zero Suit Samus's Side up A. It has an aura effect and does 8% damage
Side A: Zero Suit Samus's Side A. It Does 9% damage and has an aura effect.
Side Down A: Zero Suit Samus's Side down a. It does 10% damage, has an aura effect, and trips 90% of the time.

Down A: Wolfs down smash attack animation. It has aura effects and can do 5-15/20 % damage depending on how many hitboxes hit. It also strikes forward and backward.

Up Smash: Falco's up Smash. It hit's many times in a row doing 1% damage per hit you can get up to 20% damage here. It also has an aura effect.

Side Smash: WTF xD no really WTF @_@ I didn't change that AT ALL



Hello, this is the thread in which I shall post the following types of hacks.

First up we have Neo Zero Suit Samus: Who starred in my canceled Machinima series Raid of Neosia. The series was canceled due to plotholes and irregularity in the story itself. A new plot for this series is being worked on as we speak.

Note 1: The images are blurry due to the fault of my capturing device, the texture looks much better in game.
Note 2: The PSA only works if you start the match as ZSS by using the "hold the shield button until the match starts" easter egg/trick.

Now for a quick advert before we move on to the next set of characters. I am currently plotting (and scripting) a new machinima series that is considered the revised version of raid of neosia. The series will be titled Legend of zelda: shattered Hope. It was originally named shattered dimentions, but since spidy is in it I thought that would be too...similar lol anyway. Casting starts NOW and I'm hoping to have a full cast ready before fall starts. So there's plenty of time to audittion and practice your voices!

Okay, so lets say for a final smash I want to have someone say...zelda, transform ala Super sonic into an entirely new character. Who can do all sorts of cool stuff like fly around and use totally different moves from the original with moar power and such.

If I say, added a character model to the Fit00.pac/pcs and used model changes to make the final smash and such, could this be done?

That's right, me, a complete noob found another trick for combining vertexes between two models. It's way easier and uses morphers but should work with any version of 3DS :3

Step one: Open the two models of your choice and edit them to your liking before hand, save your work on both models as if you normally were editing them. (IE: make any normal edits first before combining them with this method.)
Step Two: Open up the model you want to combine with the original model and export the vertex you want to merge with the first one.
Step Three: Open up the DAE file for the model you want to merge, perform MOST of the steps in the "mariokart64n's method without patching" tutorial.
Step four: When you get to the part where it says clone the vertex etc DON'T, instead do this.
Step four A: import the vertex set that was from the model you want to merge with your original(IE the original being the dae file you opened in 3DS max and the vertex being from the model you want to merge with yours.)
Step four B: DON'T clone your edited model, if you already have made the needed edits through your chosen method. Just import the verts through the script, make sure the virts you exported are the ones that you wanted to merge with your model before you import them.

Step five: Go to morphers after importing the vert set that you want to combine with your model, then click the first channel and pick from scene, select that vert using the H key trick and scale that up to one hundred.

Step six: Export the verts using the steps from the "mariokart64n's method without doublepatching" making sure that you didn't do the "morph" part of this method, ONLY DO THIS TRICK WITH THE VERT SET FROM THE MODEL THAT YOU WANT TO MERGE WITH YOUR NEW MODEL.

Step seven: preview the model in brawlbox after you've replaced it with the one you exported the new verts on. It should look like your model and the changes made from the model you didn't edit.

I'll edit this and try to make a more detailed description of what I did later, but right now I'm working on a new hack :3 so yeah <3

Okay I'm editing this pigtail vertex for my first full body hack. And guess what, after I import the vertex set for peaches only other body vertex other than the one with her bust/sleeves it doesn't recognize it!

Is the vertex for her body just un-changable?

And when I say it doesn't recognize it. I mean that once I import it into 3DS max through the script, then press H at the morpher channel it doesn't show up, only my clone entitled 'morph' appears in the list even after I've imported the vertex.
