I'll still be around and coding, I'll just be coding something different now. I'm surprised you've been so persistent in modding for so long.
well depending on what it is will depend if I miss you or not :3 (I already know you're still sticking around) XD
and thanks for the complement :3 my passion started with Pichu, but now it's moved on to even bigger things... I'm still gonna fight for Pichu as he should be made in Brawl >;3
the current model is ok, but Pichu doesn't have legs (1) and his body doesn't distort by much (2).
my work is still far from complete though as I plan to extend UMC to UGE (Game Editor) so that's how long I intend to be in modding
Tcll, pls, stahp. You don't know what you're talking about.
The whole reason I rewrote all the OpenGL stuff to use the OpenTK library was solely for the support of all modern OpenGL functions, including the ones to compile and render vertex, geometry and fragment shaders.
I don't mind you being curious about how the TEVs work but it does strongly bother me when you say untrue things that confuse people. OpenTK has the capacity to render the MDL0 exactly as it appears in-game, but I never got around to coding it in.
If you're gonna act like you know what you're talking about, do it in your own thread.
Now that coding BB is off my back, maybe I can go update my MDL0 documentation thread with all I know later.
well, I'm not gonna argue... all I'm gonna say is that if you're using stuff like glMaterialfv(), GL_TEXTURE_2D, glVertex3fv(), etc... then my word stands, and you're not using the modern functionality.
I havn't looked at the src recently, but from the src I have looked at (0.65) you weren't using it. (so feel free to bamf me if you're using it now)
well, on the bright side this gives dev5 a boost to support game logic and game scripts... (I havn't JUST been thinking about Modern OpenGL implamentation)
anyways... it was good havin ya part of the hacking community. (even though I went homeless and knew very little to do much of anything here)
I never stopped looking back, but I never quit looking foreward either all these old memories just help me to realize the success we've all been through |D
I miss roo as well ;_; I've tried getting in contact with him a few times, and he's contacted me back once or twice... but the moment is never anything long lasting ;_;
if there's anything I'm gonna do for him, it's gonna be completing his beloved Flandre project :')
seems we're all hitting a slowdown... I'm gonna be taking my time to learn Modern OpenGL once I can get either PyStream or PyGPU working...
after that, I'm gonna try to look into some undiscovered Brawl formats, and try to make a come-back like the old times :')
and of course try to lend you a hand in figuring out these god forsaken TEVs... gawd it's like you're Yin, and I'm Yang... you have the knowledge as to what they do, while I have the knowledge to make them work
anyways... yea you should be back by then
until then, let us enjoy this hiatus, and get some other things accomplished ^_^
I'm overviewing the template and making a bunch of corrections to things... what I called "Shaders" is even incorrect... those are material-local texture settings. (GX, as of the Wii, doesn't use Shaders, so there's no need for the term to even exist) ^ with the Wii U having a GPU, I'm sure GX will finally use Shaders in some sort of fascion.
I'd join you in fixxing bugs, but I'm kinda holding my own party
in v0.68 though, there's a small annoying issue that happens when I replace the TEVs and set the material... when trying to save, it crashes... (might have to be something with the compression, or leading to it)
why didn't I think about doing this before >.< thanx for inviting me Albafika
I'd already posted this in my resource box since JackH wasn't responding to my multiple PMs of how that wasn't the right version... heh I think this is the fixed patch as well (please inform me if not)

it's not quite ready for release just yet as the interface is very unstable and crashes with about half of my imports while others simply don't work... heh but it's definitely some progress XD
lets see who can have the preview looking like it does in-game first :3 the interface is literally only a few steps away from TEV support like Brawl's
NOTE: (again) Brawl doesn't use Shaders, Brawl (and Melee) uses TEV settnngs to simulate Shaders they're basically the retarded and dwarf'd version of a fake shader XD

Sorry about that didn't know forums allow you to read the posts from bottom to top
you're not alone many people have done it
this host does, I think freeforums does I think proboards used to (v5 doesn't, though it will be implamented) forumotion doesn't vBulletin does Xenforo doesn't (same people who built vBulletin) 9_9
but yea... the oldest post is on the last page (newest post is ALWAYS on page 1) ^_^ ^ I can't get enough of the feature :3
