121  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: [Official] Ikarus Development: A new program in dev to make PSAs and animate! on: December 08, 2013, 02:15:43 PM
I'll still be around and coding, I'll just be coding something different now.
I'm surprised you've been so persistent in modding for so long.
well depending on what it is will depend if I miss you or not :3
(I already know you're still sticking around) XD

and thanks for the complement :3
my passion started with Pichu, but now it's moved on to even bigger things...
I'm still gonna fight for Pichu as he should be made in Brawl >;3

the current model is ok, but Pichu doesn't have legs (1) and his body doesn't distort by much (2).

my work is still far from complete though as I plan to extend UMC to UGE (Game Editor)
so that's how long I intend to be in modding Wink

Tcll, pls, stahp. You don't know what you're talking about.

The whole reason I rewrote all the OpenGL stuff to use the OpenTK library was solely for the support of all modern OpenGL functions, including the ones to compile and render vertex, geometry and fragment shaders.

I don't mind you being curious about how the TEVs work but it does strongly bother me when you say untrue things that confuse people. OpenTK has the capacity to render the MDL0 exactly as it appears in-game, but I never got around to coding it in.

If you're gonna act like you know what you're talking about, do it in your own thread.

Now that coding BB is off my back, maybe I can go update my MDL0 documentation thread with all I know later.
well, I'm not gonna argue...
all I'm gonna say is that if you're using stuff like glMaterialfv(), GL_TEXTURE_2D, glVertex3fv(), etc...
then my word stands, and you're not using the modern functionality.

I havn't looked at the src recently, but from the src I have looked at (0.65) you weren't using it.
(so feel free to bamf me if you're using it now) Wink

dangit BJ >.<
gonna leave me to work alone huh Sad

well, on the bright side this gives dev5 a boost to support game logic and game scripts...
(I havn't JUST been thinking about Modern OpenGL implamentation)

anyways... it was good havin ya part of the hacking community. Smiley
(even though I went homeless and knew very little to do much of anything here)

I'm gonna miss ya Cry
125  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: [Official] Brawlbox Discussion on: December 07, 2013, 11:21:53 PM
Shader preview is working noW? thks for all your job blackjax, thks pal, a lot...  Smiley
lol Brbx doesn't even support Modern OpenGL TO use them XD
(well, it can use them, but not in any decent fascion)

looks like I'm the only one working on the TEV's now ;_;
well... this ain't the first time I've been in this position... heh
126  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: [Official] Brawlbox Development: Taking my leave. on: December 07, 2013, 06:48:09 PM
Brawlbox is getting better and better, i hope the BRSTM Volume feature is added soon.
Lol
127  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: [Official] Brawlbox Development: Taking my leave. on: December 05, 2013, 06:16:54 PM
I never stopped looking back, but I never quit looking foreward either Smiley
all these old memories just help me to realize the success we've all been through |D

I miss roo as well ;_;
I've tried getting in contact with him a few times, and he's contacted me back once or twice...
but the moment is never anything long lasting ;_;

if there's anything I'm gonna do for him, it's gonna be completing his beloved Flandre project :')

seems we're all hitting a slowdown...
I'm gonna be taking my time to learn Modern OpenGL once I can get either PyStream or PyGPU working...

after that, I'm gonna try to look into some undiscovered Brawl formats, and try to make a come-back like the old times :')

and of course try to lend you a hand in figuring out these god forsaken TEVs...
gawd it's like you're Yin, and I'm Yang...
you have the knowledge as to what they do,
while I have the knowledge to make them work

anyways...
yea you should be back by then Smiley

until then, let us enjoy this hiatus, and get some other things accomplished ^_^
128  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: [Official] Brawlbox Development: v0.69b released on: November 21, 2013, 09:57:09 AM
before checking...
can I still export DAE 1.4.1??

I kinda don't have 1.5 support just yet
129  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: Tcll's resource box on: October 25, 2013, 10:25:10 PM
finally figured out the TEVs

so there's some progress on things Tongue

I'm overviewing the template and making a bunch of corrections to things...
what I called "Shaders" is even incorrect... those are material-local texture settings.
(GX, as of the Wii, doesn't use Shaders, so there's no need for the term to even exist)
^ with the Wii U having a GPU, I'm sure GX will finally use Shaders in some sort of fascion.
130  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: [Official] Brawlbox Development: v0.69b in progress - bugfix party! on: October 25, 2013, 09:30:15 AM
woot another bugfix party XD

I'd join you in fixxing bugs, but I'm kinda holding my own party Tongue

in v0.68 though, there's a small annoying issue that happens when I replace the TEVs and set the material...
when trying to save, it crashes...
(might have to be something with the compression, or leading to it)
131  Welcome / Rules / Feedback / Brawl Vault / Re: Brawl Vault Problems, Updates, and Suggestions on: October 25, 2013, 06:42:45 AM
about the "Problem:" thing...
why can't you guys simply turn the Safe Search off by default??

or is that interface something you can't touch through coding?? >_>

EDIT:
also... as a small request Smiley
when I'm on another compy, if it doesn't have Opera installed, I'll be using IE8 as a 2nd.

anyways...
think you guys could get the quick-edit button working properly?? Smiley
(as in not removing all new-lines in the post)
132  Welcome / Rules / Feedback / Brawl Vault / Re: Brawl Vault Problems, Updates, and Suggestions on: October 24, 2013, 09:31:21 PM
why didn't I think about doing this before >.<
thanx for inviting me Albafika Smiley

I'd already posted this in my resource box since JackH wasn't responding to my multiple PMs of how that wasn't the right version... heh
I think this is the fixed patch as well (please inform me if not) Wink

HexEdit Pro 4.0 - A professional hex editor, built by Andrew, with template support and many more features used for viewing and testing the data structures of a file.
For more information, go to http://hexeditpro.com
HexEdit Pro 4.0 patch - A patch by Tcll which removes the regestration popup dialog.
NOTE: Install HexEdit Pro 4.0 first before applying the patch.
If you are able to afford the registration, please show your respects to Andrew.
the downloads are DB for backup when Andrew makes an update.

EDIT:
for a few templates I've worked on: (some of which color-highlight the data)

this seems to have gone unnoticed... >.>

no comment on it, and am still not seeing it in the resources <_<
133  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Programming / Re: Universal Model Converter - image scripts finally supported on: October 23, 2013, 05:15:27 PM
finally here with something legit to post :3

it's not quite ready for release just yet as the interface is very unstable and crashes with about half of my imports while others simply don't work... heh
but it's definitely some progress XD

I see what you did there ...
lets see who can have the preview looking like it does in-game first :3
the interface is literally only a few steps away from TEV support like Brawl's Wink

NOTE: (again)
Brawl doesn't use Shaders, Brawl (and Melee) uses TEV settnngs to simulate Shaders
they're basically the retarded and dwarf'd version of a fake shader XD

Sorry about that didn't know forums allow you to read the posts from bottom to top

you're not alone Grin
many people have done it Smiley

this host does,
I think freeforums does
I think proboards used to (v5 doesn't, though it will be implamented)
forumotion doesn't
