Basically, it's a Koopa Troopa, who is wearing a red shell and red shoes. The green shelled Koopas always seem to get more playable roles, so this hack pretty much makes up for that flaw.
Now, unlike my last set of Mario Party 9 hacks, there aren't as many modified icons and portraits for this hack. This is primarily because most of Koopa Troopa's icons don't show the back of its shell, which is pretty much all that I touched on the model (along with the shoes of course).
Man you're probarly the master of texture hacking.
Thanks for the compliment. Of course, most of my work isn't exactly high quality; I primarily just use simple colors, while it's the stage lighting that makes the colors look different at spots.
I got hold of this newest BrawlBox today, and I'm pretty impressed that it supports MDL0s from Mario Kart Wii, Mario Sports Mix, and Mario Party 9. However, even though it can open decompressed ARC container files, I can't view any of New Super Mario Bros. Wii's contents without extracting the BRRES archives.
Regardless, it's a nice improvement over having to rely on the BRRES Viewer to see non-Brawl MDL0s.
There seems to be a problem with the "Add CSP" and "Show CSPs" buttons now. Whenever I click on the buttons, no actions are made; I can't add any portraits, even if I wanted to.
Today I've decided to go back to some of my older Brawl hacks, and do some recoloring to them. Anyway, here's what I did up...
Fighters
Shiny Human Latias
Shiny Human Latios
If you recall the Human Latias and Human Latios texture hacks that I did back over a year ago, I decided to make the shiny variations of the two. Now, as you can see, the screenshots were taken with the Dolphin Emulator, but I'm quite sure that they'll work on an actual Wii too. Likewise, the portraits are at a higher quality level, considering that I used an emulator to test them out.
Regarding the Peach hack, just like with the original, all vertex edits are credited to KAZECoyote and LenSho.
Kirby Hats
Shiny Human Latias's Crown
Shiny Human Latios's Hair
Yup, even the Kirby Hat textures that I did up got a good recoloring done. Now, the equipment colors are based on what the shiny versions of Human Latias and Human Latios wield.
Conclusions
The hacks are now up for download, so be sure to check the Brawl Vault soon.
Hey that's pretty damn useful. Mind dropping in some words or a link to a tutorial as to how I can emulate the SD card? Where should I be placing my custom files?
You need to have a program that can create an SD card file. WinImage is the best option, but it's not free.
Anyway, with WinImage, you can make an SD card file that holds the exact same amount of memory as the SD card that you use on your Wii. It primarily involves injecting that very SD card to make an actual SD card file. The SD card file has to be called sd.raw, in order for the Dolphin Emulator to read it though.
You can bypass the Gecko OS stuff, just by going to the "GameConfig" folder. While inside that folder, look for a file named RSBE01.ini, RSBP01.ini, or RSBJ01.ini. Open it, and go to the part that reads [Gecko]. Input all of your Gecko codes, and then save. For an example...
The + symbol means that the code is enabled. I'm pretty sure that you're limited to only 256 lines of code by doing this method though; I'm not fully positive though, since I only use two codes.
To finish up, open up the Dolphin Emulator, and select "Config". There will be a checkbox that reads "Enable Cheats". Put a checkmark onto that checkbox. Now, whenever you play Brawl, your codes will be activated immediately.
@Shun_One: I used the Dolphin Emulator to get the good quality portraits for my Summer Style Peach texture pack. Before I made that texture pack, I mostly just took in-game snapshots and decrypted them with a snapshot decrypter.
You see, the file patch code can be used with the Dolphin Emulator, which made it possible for me to test the texture hacks on an emulator without having to make a custom ISO. With that information in mind, I was able to take high quality screenshots, and turn them into portraits.
For an example...
The image below is a screenshot that I took with the Dolphin Emulator...
I modified that screenshot into actual portraits...
Anyway, I'm sorry if the texture colors are too bright at some spots. The stage lighting can do that at times.
Yup, it's the Red Magikoopa, which appeared in the Paper Mario and Mario Baseball titles. Simply put, I merely changed the Magikoopa's cloak to a red coloring. And of course, I altered his icons and portraits along the way. Just like with Red Yoshi, you'll just have to go through all the files that the download contains to see all the portraits that have been modified.
On a side note, some of the content is region-specific, since in the PAL version of Mario Party 9, Magikoopa is named Kamek. Since the download contents are from the NTSC-U version of the game, I'm not too sure about how the PAL version will handle them.
It seems that my only solution was to reduce the amount of content that the primary post was displaying. By doing that, I was able to get my primary post modifications to be accepted.
Ironically, the changes that I make to the secondary post and later, tend to get accepted without any major problems, regardless of the character amounts.

I've been trying to modify the primary post on one of my own threads, but every time I try to submit the changes, I always end up with this error. Oddly, this problem never really occurred, up until now.
I did a lot of work with these texture edits. Not only did I modify Yoshi's body and face, but I also modified his portraits and icons. What you see on the image above is only a portion of my edits. To see them all, you'll just have to try out the edits yourself.
The download comes included with a bunch of text documents, which tell you what files to look for, along with the offset placements for each texture part. The icons are merely aesthetic, but it's just something that I did while viewing the ISO's contents.
Anyway, feel free to use this hack, and just pay attention to the readme text document along the way.
