this isnt rly BRAWL stuff but it is very related, as im talking about the CODES!!!!!
im pal user, and can only replace some of the stages, as i cant use rel files...
i'm sure there's a lot of ppl who know how to port codes from NTSC to PAL, so why wont anybody just port the latest replacement code from NTSC to PAL?!?!?!?!
if anybody would do this he/she would be my new god!!!!
seriously, just because the coders are NTSC users they dont care about PAL, and that kinda hurts me :'(

if u are a PAL user and want this too, reply and make this thread as big as possible, so it may get attention from coders who COULD do this but dont WANT TO...

soy español, y por lo tanto PAL, y estoy harto de que nadie se preocupe por pasar los codigos a PAL, como bien sabreis si sois PAL (y si no lo sois lo sabreis ahora), no podemos reemplazar escenarios que necesiten un archivo rel...
se que hay muy buenos coders por ahi que podrian hacer esto, puede que no sin dificultad, pero podrian hacerlo y contentarnos a todos nosotros, LOS PAL-eros!!!!! xD
asi que si sois PAL como yo contestad a este topico, y haced que consigamos la atencion de algun coder, porque despues de tanto tiempo ya nos lo merecemos...!

Well, I'll make a new texture for the grip. I'll also see if I can round the sword with my ridiculous wertexing skills... But thanks a lot Smiley
no problem, i actually enjoyed making this.
my next thing is more chalenging, not to say nearly impossible for me, but ill try to make dark knight cecil from FFIV im also renaming this, it wont only have my link vertexes but all of them.
this may take some time to organize.

Really good work ! But there's one detail that's missing... The GFS has a really particular shape, it is a bit rounded and bigger in the middle. If you could make it so it would be super special awesome Smiley

sry but im no god yet in this, i actually am rly new at this, so my skills dont go much further than editing weapons lightly, if u had seen how simple that grip was u would laugh at anyone who says that this is hard...
also, id like to have someone make a proper texture for the grip...
i'm submitting the model now, the hitboxes are untested on wii, so if u do this before me just report it on this post, and if it works i'll update all my big sword models to have the fixed hitboxes.

ive found the animation problem, just as i said i would report my findings... the problem is: *(drums)* THE FKN T-pose!!!!!!!! he dsnt have a real T-pose!!!!!
his feet should be completely rect in the T pose, his arms to the side and not to the front, but the tail is ok.
i have no idea if u can change the rotations to have his T-pose different, and fix it, but if u can, u should be able to import animations and stuff.
i hope this helped.
and btw, i could try doing some of the animations, i'd like to do the wait3 and some appeal animation, just to help a bit, im starting school again so i wont have too much time, but i can always work in the week-end.

im doing it for normal link, and planned on doing it on young link too, but if ur already making it... i'd just say you should edit the grip to be more precies.



Oh yeah, I completly forgot about this. How long are you making the GFS ? It should be as long as the Master Sword.

i dont think u need hexing cuz young link and link are the same model... but resized, and vertexed...

awesome, thnx anything i find out will be reported of course, raichu is awesome, but just one thing about his attributes, his speed... i dont think he should be slower than pikachu, cuz its his evolution, and if u have a LV100 pika vs a LV100 RAI, i guess rai would be faster (at least in games)

are you planning to use multiple wait animation like most characters, or just one looping animation? (wait1)
also, if u renamed the bones to be equal to brawl bone names, u could import animations from other characters, like donkey kong's giant punch for thunder punch on neutral B for example, just trying to give ideas...
of course i understand that u'll think WTF?! if i do that i'll loose my animations, but it could just be done again, without thinking, just copying, even i could do that if u think its too much time for "nothing".

No I'm going to use the multiple wait animations.

I also tried renaming all the bones to the other character's, and something's weird about this model, that when I use other animations, it warps all the limbs and everything lol. Like a black hole spawned inside him x3 and I tried the methods to fix it after looking around, nothing worked. I'm just gonna make them all from scratch, and I don't really mind doing that I guess. Just seems like it'll take a long time, which is ok.
thats awesome, but i think u should try asking someone about this, i personally dont have much experience in bone related stuff, other than resizing and renaming to delete what i dont want and so, xD.
but did u think about using a pikachu like bone-name scheme?
i know i may be repeating myself, but being able to import maybe not entire animations, but just key frames for certain poses and stuff would make it a lot easier, and u would still have completely original animations.
btw, is there a download for this, even i know its not playable, but to mess around and tell u if i found out something, dunno... would just be awesome.

I can get you a download of the model, yea. I guess I just don't want someone to complete this project before I do and steal my ideas x3 I'm really ambitious about this and want to do it right.

Also I did get help with the bones actually, and it works and everything. The bones are named differently though, due to it being an import, save for the fixes that are necessary to make for it to work in brawl. I appreciate your help a lot though :3 I guess i don't know what I'm asking for really x3 Other than like.. animating tips and such, though I think I've gotten the hang of it

of course i wouldnt end this i dont even think to have the patience necessary for making 3 wait animations... i'd just like to check it out and maybe even learn something about it that i could use for myself im kinda new in this too, ive only done little vertexes and one bone edit which i didnt submit, it was link having his sheath on his belt instead of his back, it looked awesome, problem was his taunt...
so maybe i could help and maybe not, but i think im kinda interested in this project, as it IS alive! so my first helper will be wishing you a lot of luck with it, xD.

i'd like to say that zelda vertexing to get rid of things is useless as u can get it away by making that part of the texture transparent, cuz the two "important" body textures admit transparency

Well, for the song, it's the 'Brawl Theme (Ghettolicious)' one. I'm trying to replace the Menu2 song by changing the name to X02.brstm and placing it in here (private\wii\app\RSB\pf\sound\strm\). But the song never changes. As for the stage, it's the 'lost woods version 2' stage that replaces Green Greens. I name the file  STGDXGREENS.PAC and place it in the following folder (private\wii\app\RSB\pf\stage\melee\). Once I do that, I select Green Greens on the stage selection screen and the screen freezes and a long sustained beeping sound is heard. I have explained All of this already in my first post...

u saying that ur folder is RSB??? i think thats the mistake over there...

i'd just say that ur using the wrong codes or the wrong folder, if ur pal, ur using correct codes but wrong folder, it should be rsbp instead of rsbe.
if ur ntsc the folder is right but the codes are wrong, and u should look for ntsc codes, i hope this helped.
