whenever i rotate view, the model dissapears and all i see are boxes to represent where the polygons are... and also in move, scale, rotate, etc. the axis wont appear...

i'll state some basic information here, this is for ppl who are COMPLETELY NEW to this, this is not a tutorial to set up ur SD card!!!

1- types of hacks:
vertex hack
texture hack
PSA/moveset hack
animation hack
SFX hack
music hack

explanations:

texture hack: if u have brawlbox downloaded, u'll see a TEXTURE part, if u open it, ull see images, exporting them will convert them to PNG, so u can edit them and import them again.

vertex hack: this consists in EDITING THE ORIGINAL MODEL, this is, using aplications or scripts to convert the MODEL[DATA] in a editable file, search for tutorials for more info.

PSA/moveset hack: hacks made using project smash attacks. edits gfx hitboxes and blablabla

animation hack: done in brawlbox, edit and create new animations for a character.

sfx and music hack is self-explaining...


it is important to see the difference between a vertex and an import.
a import, as the name says is an imported model, to replace a character's normal model.
this means, if ur doing this, u'll need to check out lots of things to fix the bugs and glitches.
and please, please, please, if ur new in this, dont think vertexing, texturing or importing is easy...
if u say sumthing like: u would only have to move the headband to the hip and edit it a bit to make a skirt (lol at lame example) u know nothing about what ur saying.

and now, for all ppl who luv requesting things and dont get respons in an hour and get mad cuz they wont listen to them... stop being mad... learn urself, its al practice, at least texture and vertexing, and psa is knowledge, so just learn it if u like it, whats better than learning sumthing u like?

anybody knows why G&W is 2D???, cuz in the model previewer he is 3D!!!


if anybody knows, maybe it would be possible to make him 3d...

ok, so its just that simple, so ppl know about this i thought i should release it.

things done:
-made ike wear 2 swords (only dissapears at some animations...)
-selected the new animations
-made a second sword (different from original of course)
-replace and correct the animations

things to be done:
-psa itself (collisions and timing)

believe me that the result will be awesome!

okay so here is my first tutorial, ive had some ppl asking this, so here it is in a video:

written:

1- open the 2 models.
2- export the model u are going to use (the one u want to change)
3- export the vertex set from the other model(for example a model with a different sword) and name said group: vertex.ddf (remember to copy the mdl0 offset somewhere)
4- open dasdonkey box 1.0 and create 3ds file
5- import the ddv.3ds in 3ds max or anim8or
6- export it again and overwrite the previous ddv.3ds file.
7-in dasdonkey box, click on insert 3ds into MDL0
8- paste the mdl0 offset
9- uve got ur new model done.

example: u got normal marth and grim reaper marth, and want to have normal marth wear the scythe,
u would export the normal marth's model and the scythe vertex group. but u should notice that the scythe is made out of 3 or 4 different vertexes, so just repeat the process for every vertex set needed.

okay, so here are my questions:

1- can u just use a "virgin" rel file of brawl in a replacement? ex: donwload a FD stage want it ove 75m so i use st_final.rel from my partition.

2.- if not, how do u make the rel files???

this isnt rly BRAWL stuff but it is very related, as im talking about the CODES!!!!!
im pal user, and can only replace some of the stages, as i cant use rel files...
i'm sure there's a lot of ppl who know how to port codes from NTSC to PAL, so why wont anybody just port the latest replacement code from NTSC to PAL?!?!?!?!
if anybody would do this he/she would be my new god!!!!
seriously, just because the coders are NTSC users they dont care about PAL, and that kinda hurts me :'(

if u are a PAL user and want this too, reply and make this thread as big as possible, so it may get attention from coders who COULD do this but dont WANT TO...

esto no es ninguna peticion de ayuda del brawl en si, pero esta muy pero que muy relacionado, si amigos si, hablo de los CODIGOS!!!!!!
soy español, y por lo tanto PAL, y estoy harto de que nadie se preocupe por pasar los codigos a PAL, como bien sabreis si sois PAL (y si no lo sois lo sabreis ahora), no podemos reemplazar escenarios que necesiten un archivo rel...
se que hay muy buenos coders por ahi que podrian hacer esto, puede que no sin dificultad, pero podrian hacerlo y contentarnos a todos nosotros, LOS PAL-eros!!!!! xD
asi que si sois PAL como yo contestad a este topico, y haced que consigamos la atencion de algun coder, porque despues de tanto tiempo ya nos lo merecemos...!

ik woon in spanje en dus ben ik PAL, ik kan geen stages wissellen als die een rel file nodig heeft, dus als jij ook PAL bent antwoord hier dan om de aandacht van coders te krijgen, en mischien word het dan eindelijk ook voor ons een goede tijd in brawl-hacking...
