If we get technical about it, Fierce Diety is a different person from Link altogether. Much like how the Zora, Deku, and Goron masks encompass the spirits of the ones you got it from(Deku may have been the butler's dead son).
Seriously, I think Nintendo should try looking through Smashboards, more specifically the Brawl+ and tourney related sections to make a better Smash game.
I think they made Brawl the way it is (different than previous ones) to attract more casual gamers and not have as big a learning curve.
64 and melee attracted casual gamers just fine. Brawl just decided to give the other half of its fanbase a kick in the nuts.
And no, Nintendo doesn't like fans tampering with their work. I can see why tbh, but its a little annoying.
I took that from the brawl+ codeset and it currently works fine with indiviual pokemon. If you want the code that keeps pokemon trainer from switching on death, I'll look for it.
But seriously, I am. I feel really stupid because doing this always nerfed the quality of my original images and gave me freezing issues. Also, it's why I kept getting grayscale with Kirby and Dedede. Thanks alot, both of you.
My question is if I need to export and edit a CSP already in the common5. Basically, I want to know if I can make my own from scratch and just throw it in there.
I must apologize for posting yet ANOTHER topic about my CSP troubles, and Shadow and everyone else has been really helpful so far, but my problems persist.
Using smash/brawlbox to replace CSPs, I've always extrated the CSP I wanted to replace from the common5.pac, edited it in photoshop, and then replaced it after saving.
I want to know if this is even necessary. Basically, can I make a custom CSP from scratch with the same 128 x 160 borders, indexed color format, and same amount of colors as the CSP I wish to replace? Would the game work without it freezing? I would honestly try this myself but the Wii is currently out of the question for me...
