i have been out of the hacking game for a while, but figured the original files would still work. long story short, i cant get any hacks to work again. i have been using the same SDHC since a while back, but this is with the Wii U's vWii.
trying to do both regular hacks and Project M, but i cant seem to get either to work.
i havent found a good tutorial yet and i have read inconsistent claims that SDHC does/doesnt work. (it work before for me so there is that, but it cant be impossible to make it work again, otherwise that would be stupid.)
ive been wondering this for a while and i dont really no where to ask. but what is the important difference? ive seen many a time of "for project M only" or "only works for project M".
but why is this? what makes it to where it only works in one version?
and i got to wondering why no one has tried importing the ZSSamus from that game as a joke hack. for those who dont know, when you shock a character their skeleton would show except for Samus.
with the recent addition of the Project M launcher, i took upon my self to get it and use it on my WiiU's Wii mode, but when i start the launcher its in SD format screen and so is the game.
it didnt do this when i used the hackless method with 3.0, is this normal and is it fixable.
i check on brawl hacks every now and then despite not doing brawl stuff anymore and saw a unique program that allowed for editing CSPs and all other portaits and costume slots. i am getting into hacks again and wanted to go back and get the program, but i cant find it! im pretty sure i saw it here, but i cant remember what exactly what it was called. (i guess it could also be called an 'organizer')
im trying to use riivolution again since the new sawndz maker was made recently. i have a good few characters with an edited motionetc file and riivolution isnt reading them for some reason. so its making some PSA i have on there look messed up.
in short, they are doing what their default animation would be rather than the edited one.
whats wierder is that its messing with some character instead of all of them. so i cant figure out why makes them affected different.
to start i just wanna ask, wasnt there gonna be a gecko codes section on this site or something? i forget....
anyway to the point. ive run across a couple of different variations of messing with the camera in game and pausing and the a code called 'pause/game camera'
i was looking more along the lines of being able to zoom in the camera in subspace, but subspace camera is different apparently. the only time the codes will act normally like they should is when you get reach points where: you cant go on till all enemies are defeated, you are fighting a 'brawl' type battle against any playable character like shadow Bowser, or a boss fight.
i could try requesting in the WiiRD community, but the last time i tried that was about 5 or so months ago when i saw people actually making codes specific to subspace.
any replys appreciated.
(im still hoping someone someday figures out an enemy placement/replacement mod)
my file replacement code keeps making the game freeze suddenly when playing subspace. im not sure why its doing this becuz this has never happend before, so im not sure what could be causing this.
i was messing with a characters animations (Dedede), nothing serious just checking how it works. the problem is now the character, when grabbed and held he wiggles around kinda wierd. its just a 1 frame pose that he has now but it seem he is mimicking the movement of the opponent.
the better example i can give is, he shouldnt be moving at all, like T-position, he should just stand there but he is kinda bobbing around like most characters do during a 'wait' animation.
(hope that makes sense, i dont know what i did to cause this)
on characters who dont have a drawn-on face. i wanted to see if i could put some characters normal face with their 'ouch' face, like when Snake is gritting his teeth.
i thought i had to switch polygons by export then replace in brawlbox but it told me there was an error and then i clicked continue and the face was horrifyingly twisted after that.
sicne i dont want to see that again, i thought id ask for help instead.
i wanted to know if u can take a sound within the game and swaitch it with another sound in the game.
a better example: in "fighter common" in game say i would wanna swith places with sounds '20' and '50' this would make a gulping sound when someone punches and vice-versa. how would i go about doing that?
(i would also wanna do a swith like that with character voice/sounds like hitting the ground, but the sound would be from mario getting hurt)
