Sorry, yeh that step is poorly written (I never noticed it before).
This is what you need in the VVBox folder: - The original MDL0 file (straight from a fresh pac file) and name it "original.MDL0". - The OBJ you created from the dae file AiS gave you, name it "original.obj". - The edited OBJ, name it "new.obj".
I will rewrite the readme with the next release.
With v0.1, renaming the .brres file would make your program at least kick out a "success" message, even though it didn't work...
You've since clarified that the "original.mdl0" file is, in actuality, the mdl0 file within the .pac file. Tried the same thing with v0.2, and I get the same error. Your second two lines of explanation 'make sense' to me, but perhaps not in the same way you've got it 'making sense' up in your head. Obviously, an OBJ file comes from exporting it within 3ds max, which was using the DAE file.
Questions: 1) The OBJ file that we export from 3DS Max. We ARE exporting the entire model (every frigg'n polygon highlighted) as the .obj, right? I mean... that was the point of going this route instead of every other route for vertex editing, right?
2) The OBJ file that we export from 3DS Max... What in the bloody freaking hell are the export settings. (and for that matter, the import settings of the .DAE file, in case Miacis and I are just completely bastardizing the entire operation).
Thanks VILE, can't wait (seriously, can you tell?) until this method starts working. Save us a crapload of time.
Regular codes (almost all of them) can be applied from within the emulator itself. You're obviously inquiring about the SD card modifications... which requires the usage of Wiiscrubber 1.21, and replacing each file individually. It's pretty monotonous, but when you're done, you can even burn the game with the mods hard-coded to the disc.
The said program can be found on our popular "Resources" page.
this model is mine ! i don't depend on the admin approval ! i m the proper owner !
AND I DON'T WANT MY MODEL TO BE USED AGAIN D:
I ALREADY LET HIM USING MINE FOR YOSHI AND DK, THERE'S NO DIFFERENCE AND YOU ASKED FOR MY PERMISSION AFTER HAVING POSTING THEM !!!!
remember AGFan, you did used kewlkiwi textures without proper credit
i just don't want that Bowser model (mine) used in another hack !
We're following what Miacis has determined as fair, and if you're going to go against that (as well as the admin, for that matter), then you'll be punished.
And yes, yes you DO depend on admin approval.
And both of you need to work on the ol' English language. It's hard to tell what the hell the argument is about with all the incoherent garble goin' around. ;p
Mmm, agreed. Syrus63 had a guide for getting the vertices to show up as solid models, but it required the usage of 3 other programs to get the job done. What exactly are you doing here?
Here's my Submission, its very popular with the ladies
if its possible, can jack H. take some HD pics of this one? maybe even a video? maybe thats too much to ask...
WOLF LINK my second most popular hack, i really enjoyed making this one and i had access to wolf links ACTUAL textures from twilight princess, which of course were very helpful!i love this hack mainly because it turned out to be a lot greater success than i thought it would.
Credit is due to Syrus63 for the original idea, i revamped his original texture greatly . oh and credit goes to Zephron for the stage that the pictures are shown in.
i also have questions.. 1. to jack H., i think in some cases brawl box images are nessesary, like if you want to showcase collision data for a stage where one might not be too sure where platforms are (I.E. some 2D stages..) right?
2. i belong to a team, so is it wrong to ask for a bit of advertisement? like can i post our banner? im from Galaxia Darkness btw.. but hey, if you dont like adverts for opposing teams thats fine.. we have revived the team after some inactivity so i was hoping for some facetime
3. not really a question, but....I LOVE to use Photobucket albums to showcase my hacks, if you would prefer one picture over another on my album, please, be my guest and feature those.
4. what kind of comp are you using Jack H.? cause it must be something pretty beast to run HD video for brawl! i would really like to know the specs on that baby! my comp is alright, but its a single core pentium..
1) You know when brawlbox images are appropriate. I don't think I need to make it a mosaic law or anything.
2) We know what it's like to start off as a small team. We were there almost 2 years ago. Sure, put your banner in your signature, but for heaven's sake, don't make the banner height so obnoxiously huge that makes us want to gargle vinegar. You Galaxia Darkness folk have a rep for stacking banners in your sig. Avoid that.
3) If you end up getting featured, we will only use the images that you provide. I can easily proclaim my hatred for photobucket's bandwidth limitations, and encourage you to move to tinypic. Anyone being featured must realize that your bandwidth limit is going to skyrocket if your images are placed on the blog, so take precaution, and avoid silly image sites that impose limitations in bandwidth. The last thing we want on the blog's face is "BROKEN IMAGE - BANDWIDTH EXCEEDED" squares everywhere.
4) Alright, I've been asked this many times, and I'll end up putting it in my signature later, but here's the full specs of my computer I built:
- Processor: AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Callisto 3.1GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 80W Dual-Core Desktop Processor [Unlocked to Quad-Core, Overclocked each core to 3.63GHz] - MotherBoard: GIGABYTE GA-MA790GPT-UD3H AM3 AMD 790GX HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard - VIDEOCARD: XFX HD-577X-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 1GB 128-bit DDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support - Hard Drives: [2x RAID 0] Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive - Case: Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case ,comes with Three Fans-1x Front Blue LED 120mm Fan, 1x Top 140mm ...
It scores straight 7.4's on the Windows Experience Index, for those familiar with that.
Configurable USB Loader is the one I personally use. I find it easiest to actually partition it to WFBS, as it solves a lot of problems, and doesn't require so much hoop jumping.
If you want to keep your precious hard drive for other things, Partition the hard drive on windows into 2 partitions. Make sure the FIRST partition is the WBFS partition, or else it wont be recognized.
Use the 2nd partition for movies, music, and other media. MPlayer CE (found in the homebrew browser) can play all sorts of media. Because WBFS is such a foreign format, MPlayerCE wont even recognize it, and consider your 2nd partition (Fat32 or NTFS) as the 1st partition. (MplayerCE only reads the first partition from the hard drive, but if the 1st partition is WBFS, it doesn't even see it, and skips to the 2nd).
That's by far the easiest way to do it. I personally prefer WiiBackupManager to get my games from my PC to my Hard drive. But others work too.
NOTE: Going the route of having your wii read ISO files, via a FAT based format means you CANNOT rip games straight from the Wii to the Hard drive. You lose that functionality. That's another reason to go with the method mentioned above.
Please uninstall the Samyak/Oriya font, e.g. 'sudo dpkg -r ttf-oriya-fonts', then log out and log in again. That font causes strange crashes in .net programs.
^^^^ That's the message I get.
Well, try doing what it says! Open up terminal, and past in the line it gave you (sudo dpkg -r ttf-oriya-fonts). Sign out, sign in - attempt again.
