The waiting time is going smaller, I think I'll leave the lights for now as they are, will fix a few textures and then I'll upload it, tomorrow/wednesday. I'm to see if I finally add the pokemon stadium background anyway for the beta.
I hope you understand the limitations of the stage because of being in an early state, so don't be too rough when released ^^U
I'm back from my girlfriend's home, now I will have classes during the week, but I'll sure have time enough to make some things
Remember, I promised releasing Fourside this week, and the week has started xD
About the bumper in peach's castle... It would be awesome, yeah, but I would need some time and testing before I'm able to say if it's really possible or not to do. Anyway, I will make the stage in an accurate way, just as battlefield64, the platform will move, the textures and background will be the original... Just as congo64... But the shooting barrel won't be working for now ^^U
Anyway, both will be tons better than having them in 2D xD
I'm gonna make saffron city in 3D pretty soon, and pretty fast (faster than battlefield 64), and congo jungle 64, and final destination 64, and peach's castle 64, if noone objects xD
@froznhobo, yeesh, someone plays a little too much melee! XD
it doesnt have to be so intricate... but it looks fantastic so far!
@mewtwo2000, i wanted to know if it would be cool with you to use your 64 battlefield to make sortof a brawl version.. you know, like if they kept the original design but made it more spiffy? like super ultra textures or somethin.. i also wanna animate the backgrounds fire, that would be SICK!
of course now i gotta figure out how to animate a 2D background.. youve done it.. any tips that you can share that goes beyond me reverse engineering your what is love stage?
*still bouncing uncontrollably from the thought of lava fiend's suprise stage stuff*
Sure, make the changes you want. Anybody makes texture hacks from the original brawl stages, why not making texture hacks from stage hacks? xD
About animating the fire... You should get different frames for fire... I think it would be difficult to make it fine with the actual background, so you should get another fire from an animated video or something
About animating, you can make the same as I did in what is love, or get an animated 2D item such as the ufo in smashville and change the frames by yours. It would make it easier, but it would limit you the number of frames you use.
Mewtwo, I reaaaally think you should keep the background buldings and the ones you said you were going to add, AND add the Brawl version Pokemon Stadium distant background "ambience" as well, I think it would make the stage look that much more refined, with that and having the moon and stuff too
I'll take a look to that background then. The original fourside has no distant background, it's cut by a blue sky just after the buildings. But it would indeed look better if I make it more realistic by using a distant background effect.
About the buildings in the first images, it's only a 2D background, it's still in the pac file, and I will make instructions for using it instead the actual moon/sky, or will release a version with it enabled apart, I will see about it.
It's sure a nice idea to keep, certainly. A front-view assault great fox (aka assault venom) would be nice. I could make that. But I'm still planning something with my side-viewed ship now, different to space and Corneria
Thanks for the idea, I had though of it, but as I had placed it and made the collisions for the sided one, I had discarded the front version. But now I think I'll make it
PD: These are the latest pics I've made from Fourside
it'd be like to have some updates on how things are going rather than just "working on ti", "beta will be out soon" and "download up" but don't think I'm complaining I greatly appreciate your work and I thank you for doing this
You mean being giving the last news in my projects? xD
Well, I could do it. I'm going to make it for them now then xD
I can't do it until my girlfriend leaves, as I stated before. Anyway, I'm still working in my stages while in university, when I have no class. For example, I finished lugia's animation for Soulsilver's intro yesterday, and I'm making some more background buildings in Fourside. Fourside will probably have a similar lighting to the one in the second video, a little darker and with no shine / less shine. I'm learning how to edit lighting, I didn't know how easy it was.
In battlefield 64 the lighting is half-imported (only the characters light), in Venom the lighting is edited (brighter and more yellow than before) and I'm making a little edit for Fourside too.
Please, be patient, I will release Fourside just after my girlfriend gets separated from me in a few days (probably monday)
