Spanish: La primera beta que quiero lanzar de Fourside tendra el tamaño Mewtwo2000 (xD), y no vendra con helicoptero (aun no he pensado a partir de que modelo hacerlo, pero ya lo hare xD). Pero sabiendo que desde el principio su tamaño es bastante distinto al original, mas adelante lanzare la version 'melee-sized', tenga el helicoptero para entonces o no xD
Asi que ahora mismo no habra ni helicoptero ni tamaño melee, pero en poco tiempo tendra tanto helicoptero como tamaño melee, probablemente antes el tamaño melee que el helicoptero, pues lo considero mas importante. Ambos tamaños seguiran en desarrollo hasta que la termine del todo xD
English: The first beta I want to launch will be the Mewtwo2000 fourside, and there won't be a yellow chopper (I haven't event thought of which model use for it, but be sure there will be a chopper in the final version). But I know that the size of the stage is wrong from the beginning, and I will make the melee sized version in the near future. It will take some time to do due to repositioning every block, but I'll sure do it. And when done, there will be both mewtwo2000 and melee-sized versions.
So there won't be a chopper in the first beta version, and the size will be the one in the pics/videos. But when done, I'll be releasing both sizes at once, and both will get developed, so you can choose the one you want.
Hey guys, my girlfriend's coming tonight to spend the week with me, so I wont be doing much stuffz because of both being with her and going class. I still will be doing some things when at university, in resting times, but not testing when I'm home

i have a stage which requires the stage expasion by phantom wings.. man im sure people got confused by that. but if they had read the comment/description in the download, it mentions it and has a link to set it up!
i kinda expected PM's, but none so far... its got 100 downloads so i expected something..
anyways, GREAT PROGRESS!! so you use the stage builder parts to create the stage? where do those come from? what file are the pieces in? maybe ill make my own stage
They're in the stage builder pac files, I don't remember in which modeldata[] right now, but you use the model previewer and you'll get it fast O.o
Wait Mewtwooo2000 watched vid what is wrong. Oh and sorry but how do yo make left and right death boundries bigger.
What is wrong? Lights, textures in the building on the left, lack of buildings in the background... em... er... And something more I guess O.o xDDDD If not, I should fix the textures only... and release it... today? O.o
I've been out of it for quite a while... How are your stages intended to be used? Directly name them, say, STGFINAL.pac? Are you supposed to use Almas's old "Clone Engine," PW's code, or something new of which I'm not aware?
Sorry for the ignorance... If there's a guide to this somewhere, I don't mind just being directed there.

I don't use Almas, it wasn't working to me with alternate players O.o
I use dantarion's with PW's. Dantarion's makes every stage able to be selected with an alternate form just by random or by pressing some buttons, the ones you choose. PW's makes the stage roster to have 9 extra stages, you can put any stage in there, but the code comes with some rel files to make them work as wifi room stages.
Most of my stages are prepared to be wifi rooms, and final destinations too. The only one not compatible at all with the wifi room is mushroom kingdom, because of needing to use two different animations with collisions, and that not being possible in wifi room.

It's a lot of pages, though... I had made a tutorial in spanish, in a spanish page. The codes are there, if you're able to translate spanish, then you'll have it
I just don't want to make a release which is crappy and people start telling me that the textures are not finished, the ufos are acting weird in any way, etc O.o
Anyway, it will be a beta, so we could call it a testing version. The problem is that you know that, but most of possible downloaders don't.
I should get the vertexed character model, place the hacked parts where the toy is, make them match in position, and make de capture like this. I did it for cloud but I had no time to make it well, it was really time consuming, and I enjoy more having new stages than having a perfect cloud csp. I did it for metavader too, metavader was quite easy.
The lighting is only a test, I got it from the falcon flyer stage, and edited it a little. I'll probably use some parts of this lighting for the final file. I'm not sure if I could edit that moving light to be slower or more frequent, so probably it won't get into the real version
First, you get the trophies from the game, they are in the toy folder
Then, extract them with ais (I first used another model extractor but I had to place every texture in a manual way, now with ais is much easier). You'll have a collada dae file and some textures.
Place the dae and the textures where you want them to be. Open the dae file with a 3D program compatible with collada dae format. I use 3DS max 7 I guess.
Move the camera to make it look the more similar to the original csps. Edit the lightings, edit if there's any issue with the textures (eyes are usually troublesome) and save. Every time you open that file, it will load the textures in that folder. If you change the location of the textures, you won't get them to work, so you need to keep those textures in the very same folder forever O.o
Any time you need to make a new csp, just change the textures in the folder for the ones of your texture, open the 3d file, and voila, it's now the textured character
Take a pic, edit with photoshop or similar, and make the csp from it
It really took some time to do this, I've been improving my technique and I'm now able to make csp's from a prepared 3d file in only 5 minutes or so
Loving the Fourside...cant wait. I do have a suggestion tho. After looking at the video I see that in the background the buildings are indeed in 3d, but beyond them its just blank space...you should put the background from like Brawl's Pokemon Stadium back there so that it looks like its off in the distance, and keep the buildings you have in the semi-intermediate background so that way it looks more realistic, instead of looking like the bulding are just floating in nothingness...also around 0:25 to the left you can see some pixels or something floating, but im sure you already knew that.
I don't want you to think im criticizing or something because this is something I couldn't do myself so im HELLA grateful that you are in the business of making wonderful stages, but I just want to make sure you are able to make this stage as best as you possibly can, because a lot of people are rooting for you to release this bad boy in near perfect condition!

Anyway, the background is not finished yet, there are only 8 buildings, and there should be many more. When done, I will see if it's good enough or I get the one in the stadium
About the floating thing, you have to be meaning the flying heliport (the base is yet to be done), it's not very easy to see what's it from the angle in the video. Anyway, I'll try to make the base today, and I'll release the second video. The stage will be almost the same as yesterday, but the video will be longer, because I have now a good brstm to use

EDIT: Made the second video, visually you'll notice a change with the lighting, the rest is almost like yesterday. I've been fixing some things related to the UFO, that's why I have not been able to change more things to it.
i love the fourside video u posted, looks great but quick question. was that video old or wat cause the moon n the buildings in the background look different in this picture right here:
The old one is the image you've posted right now. As you can see, the buildings are not correctly texturized yet. That was the original 2D background I used when I started it, someone did make a city texture for the stage builder and I took it. It's still in the stage file, but not visible. If you prefer having this background instead of the one I have now (blue sky and moon, just like the original one) just let me know and I'll give the instructions to swap the background using brawlbox
