1  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Thinking of Updating an old Sorcery PSA... on: March 20, 2023, 09:11:05 PM
Most of the community is pretty much moved to discord at this point but the brawl modding community is still very much alive

3  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: How long does it take to make a character? on: March 14, 2018, 03:31:35 AM
ok to be honest there is no really standard time on how long it takes to make a character it really is determined on how much quality you want a character to have usually the best characters have models taken from other sources and then rigged to the base character which can take some time depending on how easy it is to import and the skill of the person importing. then you will most likely be making custom animations which can take alot of time again depending on the skill of the animator. then you have to use a moveset editing program which will most likely take up the most time since you not only have to learn how to use it but you will most likely have to fix bugs and glitches depending on what you want to do
long story short dont worry about how much time it takes to make a character worry about your dedication and willingness to make the character
4  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: CSS Organizer (Phantom Wings does it again) on: October 13, 2017, 06:30:47 PM
You do realize this thread hasn’t been update in nearly a decade right not to be rude but I highly doubt you’ll find your answer in a 7 year old thread about a extremely outdated tool

Now with that being said if you want to make edites to your css look for the brawl expansion thread there’s a section about the css so you can learn about how to edit spinut’s css code or just use the css roster.dat for the same effect
5  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: [Official] Brawl DX Mod Thread (UPDATE)V.1.0.7 RELEASEED!! on: October 02, 2017, 08:11:55 PM
No offense but if you read the date of the last post you’ll realize that this thread has not been update in over three almost four years chances are this mod is dead
6  Help & Tutorials / Help / Re: Loading Mods Through a USB? on: September 24, 2017, 09:50:15 PM
short answer why would you need it if most brawl mods packs take up 2-8 gbs and you can buy a sdhc card for cheap at walmart or whatever other store you go to and using a usb flashdrive for brawl mods is both outdated and far slower

Long answer
the only way to use a usb for brawl mods is to use riivolution but that has not been made for current brawl mods cause of the fact that brawl mainly supports sd cards. there is also the fact that using a usb drive with riivolution is far slower then using a sd card and sd cards have a tendency of taking a minute to load mods. this is cause the wii hardly if ever uses the usb ports for games. there is also the fact that most brawl mods only use on average 2gb at most 8gb on the rare occasion due to the limits present in brawl's files keeping the size of most files pretty low meaning whats the point when you can get a 4gb sdhc card for for 4-6 U.S bucks. then there is also the fact that some people use the ports for harddrives to install wii games from the disc to the harddrive (unless your a pirate in which case you know what you will be doing instead.) rather then trying to force brawl to use files from a place that it does not normally read from
7  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / General Hacking Discussion / Re: Is Brawl Vault dead? Sure doesn't feel like it. on: August 01, 2017, 02:23:21 PM
Yeah have to agree with slyveon. It is nice to have a good idea coming from one person but that one person can only get so far with that idea. There’s also the fact that we should not be trying to beat project m

you know I kinda see your point there 64 is that crazy idea you and your friends had in the backyard of your home you thought would never get anywhere. Melee (and pm) was the evolution of that sport at its highest level , the thing you make careers out of and become famous with your skill. Smash4 is what people think its like when they never played before ( or when they haven't reached the big leagues). and Brawl is that version of the game you play when you and your family are all together for thanksgiving or christmas.

Back on topic
but yeah I do feel like  originality is something that the modding community is lacking and that to me seems to stem from a almost blind love of Melee/pm and the fact that their only competitors is a overpowered version of Brawl known as Brawl minus( love brawl minus for what it is but for me like VBrawl it eventually got stale and boring after a while) and Brawl Minus Zeus which suffer from a lack of quailty, clumsily combing aspects of project M and minus while adding even more, being virtually unknown ( and this is personally my favorite of all three just cause of what it tries to accomplish). this along with the fact that smash4 is the shiny new thing in the neighborhood capturing everyones attention and I feel the biggest evidence of this is the Smash2 mod while cool feels like every other modpack in recent memory except this time it looks like melee and from what I heard will play like melee ( if I wanted to do that I would just play melee) and I feel like that not the kinda mod we should a striving modding community should aim for and don't get me wrong I commend the Smash2 developers and I actually really like their incarnation of sonic it's just that like I said before it's another melee inspired/project M mod rather then anything original and intresting

I'll try to get around to making something at some point, and maybe some exmodules

If you do decide to start again can you try and find out why Zelda Sheik modules wont work on regular wiis yet seems to work fine in dolphin

14  Super Smash Bros. Brawl Hacking / Attacks and Animations / Re: FINISHED! Project Smash 4 Cloud 100% Completed (for now!) on: December 18, 2016, 07:49:36 PM
If you are using the pm version it could be because of the la bit variables

Since I am finally free I have 2 things to say

1)sorry I could not get you the win1 and win2 animations before release, lately a lot of unexpected personal events poped up on me I'll get them to you asap

2) as for brawl minus versions I'll will actually make 2 versions, one for brawl minus 4.0bc and one for brawl minus ZeusEx
