I humbly request help on my situation. My situation is that I want to replace the Japanese sound file (voices) with the English one. I thought maybe it would be like texture hacking and replacing music where you just put the file in a certain directory, etc, but I still have no luck on it so far. Every place I searched that talked about replacing the Japanese sound file (the smashbros_sound) it's either about someone using an iso and burning the file to the disk or using Riivolution, but my situation is that I own the actual Brawl disk (english version) and I thought maybe there was a way to replace the English smashbros_sound with the Japanese smashbros_sound, and if so, I don't know the directory you put the Japanese smashbros_sound in.

I like the English voices but I just want to play Brawl with Japanese voices to see how it sounds.

I'm pretty sure you can't just switch files, I think there's a LOT of hex editing nonsense that needs to be done and it's really a matter of no one wanting to commit all of that work. It's more unreasonable than impossible.

As far as I know the JP sounds and the US ones share all ID numbers, so it might work if you just use the US .brsar and put it in the correct folder(s). This is not the case with the Pal version due to the added languages (wich is why if you use a US PSA on a Pal game (and vica versa) that character's sounds will be diffrent/ not heard).
