Weird slowing down glitch

I have a mario hack I'm making, based off of mustacheless mario. I think it's the model that's acting up. Basically, whenever he goes into the off screen bubble, the game slows down and the HUD vanishes when he comes back in. This ONLY happens when fighting lucario.

Is there any way to fix this?

(BTW, if it's not the model, it's the PSA, but I think it's the model doing it)

I have the same problem with my Koromori when he fights against other Meta Knights.
Unfortunately, I don't have the solution.

Are the characters your fighting have removed polgons? If so thats your problem. You would have to edit the model to fix it. Instead of removing the polygon remove the verticies through hex by replacing it with zeros. It might take a while but that way it wont slow down.

At least I think this is what you do. I did it for my naruto vertex and everything worked out fine. Again I may be wrong on this

The characters I'm fighting are all normal, but, as I said, Mario had his 'stache removed.....

Wait, I remember now, I did. I removed the buttons on his overalls. So, how should I hex edit them away? I really don't know what (or how) to hex, though I do have a hex editor :/
