External compnent has thrown an exception?

This is a BrawlBox question. I changed some portraits, but everytime I try saving it I get the message in the title. What's it mean?

by 'external component', it means a program or dll
and by 'exception' it means error

what OS do you have??

if XP, do you have Service Pack 3 (SP3), or the latest .net framwork installed??

(IDK if these work for vista or 7)
