Can't use the lightning bolt item anymore

When I touch a lighting bolt nothing happens -- people can walk right past it without triggering its effects. I think it might be the Items Never Disappear code that I have on -- could that be why I can't use the lightning bolt by touching it?

Edit: Oh, this also applies with Mushrooms, too. If they touch you, nothing happens. They just slide right on by.

Confirmed what when I turn the code off I can use the Lightning Bolt and Super Mushroom. So I guess it's just a bug in the code or something.

Sorry it took so long to reply -- I haven't played Brawl Minus in a really long time because Mario Party 2 has been my crack as of late -- I can't stop playing that damn game lol.
