    I just downloaded brawlbox, and I made my custom common5. But when I put it on my sd, the game freezes in the loading screen after the strap warning but before the title screen. It freezes at the same time, same place. My common3 and other stuff works fine, but the common5 messes it up. I don't know what to do  :'(

    If it freezes before the title screen that's not common5's fault. I think that's info.pac or something else.

    info.pac is in your info2 folder, but if you haven't touched that and if you removed your common5.pac and it worked, maybe it was that then. But I've never heard of common5.pac being the cause for freezes after the game loads. That's usually the info.pac that does that. Common5.pac deals with the CSS and SSS.

    Anyway, my game froze a few times on the CSS with my common5.pac, but sometimes it didn't freeze, too.

    I have Riivolution, I don't have those folder things. I just checked, and I don't even have an info.pac in there. Anyway, I'm going to see if I can find an untouched common5, as the one I downloaded already had some texture stuff on it, maybe something already in it caused the problem.

    Aw hell. I downloaded a clean common5, which fixed the loading problem, but I put a couple stage preview edits on and bam! Friggin' freezes as soon as I try to start a match -.-

    Sorry -- I have my modlauncher.xml set up to emulate the file patch code file system, so that way if I ever need to switch back to Smash Stack/Gecko from Riivolution, I won't have to move anything around.

    Also, don't know why it's freezing when you added the SSP -- sure it's the same dimension and format as the one you replaced?

    Yeah. I've tried a bunch of things- CSPs, SSPs, stock icons... everything freezes at the point it should be loading. Everything is as it should be as far as I can tell. Sigh...

    Hmm... Maybe you could send me your selmap so I can inspect it and I'll try it out in my game to rule out if it's just you or not? If you're gonna give it to me (lol that's what she said), I'd like you to tell me all the stuff you added to it as well, just so I can locate them if I need to.

    I just want to try something first. Do you have to rename whatever you add to be the same as what it replaced? Because I'm not doing that, maybe that's the difference.

    What do you mean? When replacing anything in your common5.pac, no renaming of any type is required. Just simply right click and replace the desired SSP, SSI, stock icon, whatever.

    Meh. It was just a thought. Of course it couldn't be that simple -.- anyway I'm packing it in for tonight I'll try again tomorrow.

    I think it's just that you have the wrong common5 orsomething. my wii froze when I used the common3.pac from the NTSC-U Brawl. and I'm pal, so, maybe its your region.Tongue

    That above might be the reason, but when that happened to me, someone suggested I delete the two Motion Files at the top. I don't know why, but that fixed the issues. Maybe try that, it could work.

    @beatthat25
    I don't think so, as I said earlier it works fine with no hacks on it.

    @Kitikira
    Gave it a try, but no improvement. Still freezes.
