Im new here and new to hacking, im not in any way good at textures and 3d animation but i do try to follow any tutorials on youtube etc, one thing that i can't seem to find is how to make new characer slots, such as a new character block for shadow, if i had to guess, its to do with the brawlbox/smashbox, i've used a sort of template, replacing some characters alt colors with new textures (like marios 2nd color with tron mario, using photoshop to remove the background and make it transparent).

i found a shadow - final character and it had its own voice and animations but i think im getting quite ahead of myself as i ordered a sd card reader and a new sd card in case i need to format it, also got a css organizer but i can't add any more characters to the roster, only what is already there, i was thinking that if i had say...midna, the base is zelda so if i can somehow add another zelda slot and replaced all the color slots with midna colors as well as normal zelda elsewhere, it might work but im not a good enough hacker to figure it out.

thank you in advance.

those aren't new slots, but certain characters over others.  if you look at his CSS at 4 seconds in, not all the regular Brawl characters are in there.  i've made a list for you of which new characters he has over regular Brawl characters.

    Wolf - Lloyd
    Metaknight - Gray Fox
    Ike - Cloud
    Marth - Sephroth
    Lucario - Mewtwo
    Luigi - Silver
    DK - Shadow
    Pikachu - Knuckles
    Jigglypuff - Wisp
    Yoshi - Tails

some are pretty old projects, and never got too far.

so to answer your question, no, it's not possible to add character slots.  it is possible to fully replace characters, but not add new slots.
