I didn't download a set all I downloaded was the changes to the background and the second GTC file on the list. Anyways the game seems to have started working again for some reason when I decided to try it again. I'm not sure why but I'm not going to question it.

Maybe it's when you play as a certain character. I'm not really sure why it's doing this though :/

maybe try removing the ccs hack from your card...
