comments like that REALLY don't help. For all we know it could be the RCA cable, which is certainly what it sounds like. Don't jump to such rash conclusions such as it being bricked. Especially when:

Thats really unhelpful, and kind of obnoxious.
There really isn't any reason why we should assume that its bricked, he didn't mention any modifications he made that would cause anything of the sort.

@OP: If your friend has a wii, try switching RCA cables (the red, yellow, and white one) with him. It could also be your television's RCA sockets, that happened to me. If your TV has another set, try them.
