Brawl SSP for custom stages help!

So is there anyway to add custom stage ssps for the custom stage expansion thingy WITHOUT replacing the ssps in my misc data file. like i have custom ssp over other stages that are not from the stage expansion thing, and i wanna get the "n64/melee expansion pack" but to add the icons for that, i would have to replace the misc data i have in my selmap.pac and i dont want to replace it cause it already had other stage icons in them?? what should i do?  :-\
