Wii Update? Please Help!

Please move if needed for I don't really know where to put this.

I wanted to check out the Wii Shop Channel cuz I do so about once a week but it says I need to update. How can I get around this & is this even possible to get around? I know updating is a really risky idea (it has a 99.9% chance of permanently bricking your wii from what I hear) & downgrading is not much better. If I can delete the Homebrew Channel & stuff then update I can do so but I'm hoping to not have to delete anything. I've got a 4.3u Wii & I've had one ever since I installed the Homebrew Channel. Please help.

The reason you need to update is so that you have the ability to perform a Wii system transfer to a Wii U. Obviously you're not gonna do that with a hacked Wii.

Updating is a bad idea, the risk of bricking is great. My opinion (and position): You shouldn't and just live with no more Wii Shop Channel. PMing you with additional info.

there is an app you can download called, i beleve, WiiSCU. you can download an update.

it might not be that, but there IS a hombrew app to update uit

Really? So it safely updates your Wii so it won't brick? Gotta look for it if so.

it doesn tupdate the wii, it updates the app you choose (wii shop, weather, news, etc)

Even normal channels that came with the Wii? This actually allows me to skip updates so I won't Brick my Wii? Also thanks for your help.
