Is it safe to hack a Wii U for SSBB?

Please someone please respond. I really miss hacking SSBB. Is there a high risk of crashing my Wii U by hacking SSBB? My Wii stopped reading game discs after 4 months of hacking Brawl, but I think it was just that the laser that reads the discs burned out and not the hacking... I think so cuz my Wii still turned on, and I'd had that Wii for 3 years. So what I'm saying is, is there a way to install RiiVolution or the Homebrew channel on my Wii U's Wii menu so I can hack Brawl again? I only want to hack Brawl not anything else.
Please, helpful advice is greatly appreciated.

The safest way is Dolphin emulator, you can use hack with Dolphin and if you have a realy good PC, your games will be graphically improve a lot, HD upscaling, anti-aliasing and SweetFX !
