So I want to change the color of Pit's arrows in P:M, which is done through a FitPit.pac file, but I have no experience actually making hacks. What files should I export from the pac with the altered arrows and then replace in the P:M pac in order to change the color of the arrows without at all modifying Pit's moveset? Also Falco's lasers same exact thing.

With brawlbox export any model datas relating to the arrow, any textures, any arrow ptc files in the reft section, and anything in the reff section. You'll need to rename the textures if their names have been changed at all. I don't know much about the stuff in the reft and reff sections so I can't give you much info on that. All I know is they create graphics but I have no idea how to reference or create them.

-Usually you would just replace the texture but since falco's shot and pit's arrow are energy-like there may be some graphical effects from reft/reff

I can't really tell by your post if you're meaning to create something new or replace something from another hack. If you're creating something new, I think Pit's arrow can be changed by editing the texture. I took a look at Falco's file and all the texture are black and white so I don't really know what's going on there. I wonder what would happen if you were to color it anyways and change the file format from l8 to cl8... No guarentees on that though...

Thanks. Turns out Pit's arrows are just textures, but Falco's lasers aren't. I want to actually learn how to change Falco's lasers on my own now, rather than just porting a color over to P:M. Where can I learn that?
