Alright, here's the deal, I have quite a few questions and will be asking them, If anyone can answer ANY of these questions, I will be very grateful.
A) DasDonkey Vertex Box and Vertexing in general:
1) I heard that anim80r is no longer required to vertex hack, which is good because my comp can't run it, I tried this with pokemon trainer's body and it worked fine, I tried vertexing his hat/hair and 3ds max says improper file format when I try to import it, I vertexed his backpack and got Errorjava.io.EOFException, Can anyone help me pleez.
2) Is anim8or required to vertex using 3ds max?
B) Textures and palettes
1) I tried to replace Ryu Ike's Fit_Ike05 and it did some wierd cut, flip, and highlight thing in the previewer, is this just a problem with the previewer?
2)I already asked this, but didn't put it in the help section, when retexturing Fit_IkeBlade, Nsam_Koutoubu, or PlyKirby5KSkin, the texture totally screw itself over and does some weird black grey pixel thing.
3) In an answer on a previous post of above question, I was redirected here:
http://forums.kc-mm.com/index.php?topic=3329.0, can someone please explain what any of this means.

And finally,
C) Launching through Homebrew/Gecko OS
1) I use Gecko OS version 1.9.1 (I know there are newer, just havent been bothered with downloading them) and would like to know, how do you play the masterpieces or subspace or event matches and the like, my game freezes when I try.

I may not be the best person to answer, as I'm very new myself, but I'll do what I can.

A-1: I did a quick Google search on the error that you got when messing with his backpack (Google is your friend). From what I can tell, it just means the file is corrupted in some way. It might be a good idea to list what versions of the programs you're using. To my knowledge, only the latest version of Vertex Box will work without Anim8or. Make sure you're using the latest release. You may also want to mention what version of 3ds Max you're running, as that could help people pinpoint the problem.

B-1: "Some weird cut, flip, and highlight thing" is kind of a vague description. Could you, maybe, upload and link to some screenshots that display what it is you're talking about? I'm assuming you're using Brawl Box, and I know that, when in preview mode, clicking on a texture in the list on the left will highlight said texture with a greenish color. That color is only to show you which parts of the model belong to that texture set and will not show up in-game.

B-2: Again, a picture here might be more helpful. A screenshot of the texture in Brawl Box would be handy since we'll be able to look at your format settings.

B-3: Those are the different formats that Brawl uses for it's textures. When looking at, and loading images in Brawl Box, you should see a few bits from that list like CMPR and IA4. I believe the reason you were linked there was because they thought you might have your images formatted incorrectly, and Brawl Box was not reading them the way it should. Or something. Give us a shot of what things look like on your end, and we might be able to lend more assistance.

C-1: Get the latest version of Gecko and see if you still have this problem. If it still doesn't work, then ask for help. =P

A-1, is the latest version 1.0, cuz thats the only one I could find, running 3ds max 2010
B-1, Turns out, FitIke_05 is just very misleading, and as for the select thing, I knew about the select texture thing, but when I selected other textures it kept 05 selected, so I'm guessing it was just a glitch with the previewer.
B-2, here are the screenshots,

C-1, I'll try that, the reason I didn't update was cause I thought I needed the rebooter for one of my codes, but I don't in the newest version.

Hmmm... that is an odd result you got there. The only thing that stands out as odd or different from me is that you're using Paint.Net and Windows 7. I went ahead and downloaded Paint.Net and quickly reproduced the problem by saving the file as a .png with default settings and loading it into Brawl Box. I then saved the texture as a .tga with the default settings, and it worked fine.



Whenever you run into that problem, try saving as a .tga file.

OMG, thank you, but as for C-1, upgrading it doesn't work, it starts to load but then just stays on a black screen for masterpieces, subspace works though

For C-1, my only other suggestion might be seeing if you have a faulty code related to masterpieces—like the no time-limit code—or something. Otherwise, that's about as far as my expertise goes. =/

I had that code, and it was really faulty, so faulty that when I took it of I kept getting exception DSI occurred, I fixed this by deleting my RSBE01 and replacing it with one I found on the internet. Thanks for all your help man Awesome Face
