Making character gain item instantly through smash attacks

Is it possible? I want to have it like ya know how when ur playing as the tails hack over Marth you use tailses lazer gun and it makes the sound of when you pick up an item and you use the bullets from the other gun which is actually an item? Is it possible to do that though smash attacks?and if so does anyone have a tutorial on it?
