Have you made any modifications to your SSS?

Your sc_selmap.pac may be too big. Is it over 1.14 MB?

Lower the number of colors in the thumbnails (the tiny pictures on the SSS).
You'll need to index and/or posterize them in GIMP/Photoshop.

    How do I do that?

I use GIMP so i'm not too sure if this is the same for any other image editing tool

You could greyscale the stage preview images by opening your image editing tool and greyscaling images (Image > Mode > Greyscale for GIMP)
