Well I don't use backup loaders. is that good or bad? Also, Now that Mario and Sonic 3 is out, i want it, but does it work without gecko? also, for kirby and other games, did you get the game and update your wii if it wanted an update? If so, I beleive you, but if my Wii gets bricked because i got Kirby, Then It's your fault.(or mine) But really, My wii is just soft-modded. like just HBC, Riivo and Bootmii(IOS). But is it possible with the new Homebrew Update to install bootmii as boot2 with 4.3? Also, i got my wii for christmas of 2010.

I just want to know if I'm right in saying "UD-ing from a disc won't brick your wii"??

I ask because one of my friends tried it once and I guess either got lucky, or it actually does work...
(and yes, it was only once (when UD-ing to 4.2))

I've yet to see any real tips on what IOS' are in here. here's my rig:

Wii 4.0U, USB Loader GX with cIOS installed 247. 249/250 are no longer needed as 247's updated properly with everything needed. I played Skyward and MW3 recently with IOS 247.

Also, if you're going for No USB, you can use a Homebrew IOS updater to update only certian IOS' to get stuff going. Most of teh time the App will tell you if it's safe to update that IOS or not.

Might as well mention my specs too:
Wii menu 4.3E with DarkWii Red theme, Bootmii IOS/boot2, HBC 1.0.8, CFG USB loader, cIOS 249 and 250 (d2x v6) (at max revision so updates won't overwrite).

So wait, Sky grounder, do you actually buy the game and whenever it asks for updates, you update your wii? is that how you tested kirby? because i'm gonna get it. Also, have you also tested Mario ans Sonic 3?

I haven't tested M&S3, but it should work just like all other games. Also, Kirby worked, Skyward Sword too. (SS asked for update, and when I updated, all it did was remove my cIOS, which isn't dangerous. I re-installed them with max revission and now, no update can remove them.)

Just HBC, Riivolution Channel, and Bootmii as IOS. Nothing much really. (No cIOS either. that good, bad or fine?) So am i gonna be fine? Because i really want Kirby.
