Hiya, I need a little bit of help with Riivolution.

I just switched over to Riivolution so I can alter sounds, and I seem to have figured out how to get everything to work, except for texture replacements in Common3.pac. I thought you put that thing there under brawlmods/system and have it named Common3.pac but it's not working.

I had an earlier problem replacing pokemon textures which I figured out the problem was I had to move the items folder into the Textures folder, so I thought maybe if I put Common3 in there it would work, but it didn't.

Google hasn't shed any light on the situation, so I figured I'd go ahead and ask. I know I probably skipped over something important, but I don't know what it could be.

You'll need to patch in the item textures manually. First you need brawlbox then you download whichever item you want to replace. Open the common3.pac or common3_en.pac (depending on whether you're NTSC or PAL) with brawl box (I'd Recommend making a backup of your original file first) and then open the folder directory named ItmCommonBrres. Once you do this find whichever item you're trying to replace (so if the item is named ItmCapsuleBrres.pac, look for a folder named ItmCapsuleBrres) Right click the item and click replace (not replace all) once finished patching in textures click file and save at the top and then drag into the appropriate location on your SD card

I did that. The problem is, while it worked under Gecko, it's not working under Riivolution, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Could it be that somehow the textures aren't compatible with Riivolution? I mean, that seems unlikely as I thought that was just a Fighter Texture issue, but it's entirely possible.

I'm using some of the Pokemon replacements from that set, the Luxury Ball replacement, and a Chaos Emerald replacement. I think that's it, but it seems rather odd that all of those would be incompatible.

Oh, I also tried to use Common3, common3, and Common3_en (although I know it's just supposed to be Common3) and none of those different names seem to matter..

Could it be there's something wrong with the XML document? I could always post what it says.

Hmm...I don't think it's the textures, I migrated from Gecko to Riivolution as well and my stuff works fine. What file structure are you using? are you using the ssbb template where you just drop everything into the ssbb folder on your root directory or are you using the X:/private/wii/..../pf/etc. structure?

Darndest thing, as I mentioned before, I changed Common3 to Common3_en to test it. I tried again and changed it back again and bam! It's working.

Do you know where I can pick up a fresh Common3 though? This one has stuff modded in it already.
