Can I change the language?

It seems a bit stupid because on the wii, games follow the language the system is in. However, I need it to be in german for some friends (granted, brawl isn't a text-heavy game) but I was wondering if there is a way to change the game to be in german.

I cannot change my wii to german (it has french and spanish, but no german!) and on the start screen of Project M, it HAS a language changing function (which doesn't work.)

Sorry that my question is a bit all over the place... But I just basically want to know if there is a way to change the game's language.
