I'm having issues with the announcer. I've replaced almost all of the character call sounds for the announcer using super sawndz. The announcer has now decided that he quits and won't announce any characters name.

What's wrong with it now?

None of the files came up with a size error (00code) and all of the wave files I used to replace the previous announcer character calls were strictly from the vault. In Super Sawndz I can preview the sounds and they have been replaced over the character but in the CSS the announcer says nothing.

The announcer doesn't announce any character, even the characters who I didn't replace sounds with.
I am using riivolution. Everything is in the correct folder PF/sound.

The announcer still says everything else in the game.
I am stumped. Any suggestions/help?


I've run into a new error. Now brawl Freezes whenever I pick Mario upon entry. It's never done this until now. I've restored a backup of the files when I had everything working and even still, now Mario freezes the game....HELP!

    Grab a fresh BRSAR sound file and try again. I have similar things happen to me sometimes when I replace sound effects and redoing the brsar usually fixes it..

    Silencing a certain portion the .brsar happened to me before with no error message, and I still think it's something to do with size. The file size for character voices shouldn't exceed D0000 (it starts with a D). If it does exceed that limit, the certain character noises will be silenced out. The only character that legitimately exceeds the limit is Ganondorf FYI. Making the file size smaller than D0000 fixes the silencing.

    Thanks, I have a better understanding of the situation now.

    Do you by any chance have the expertise to answer my 2nd question?

    For some reason, Mario seems to make the game freeze upon his entry. I've never had to use a no entry code on the mario PSA I'm using but all of a sudden now, the game freezes upon his entry. I formatted the SD card and restored a backup of my data and everything worked again however, it has now randomly started glitching again.


    Edit: I think I may be corrupting my psa's when I edit them via the sd card and not the actually computer hd.

    Try disabling the PSA and see if the problem still persists

    I've done that and it didnt work so i decided to try something different.i put the psa back and replaced the brsar I had edited. Apparently.....

    I just noticed that when I add a certain sawnd file its making mario freeze. It's between the gotenks, mewtwo or espio sawndz in the vault.

    I'll find out which one.

    Edit: The Espio sawndz in the vault cause Mario to freeze upon entry. It also changes a couple of other things that it should have such as menu sounds and such.
    Also the gotenks sawndz in the Gotenks (Lucas) PSA actually seem to erase sounds from Lucas w/o replacing them.
