I cant get homebrew on my wii u?

hi in need some help, im trying to get homebrew on the wii u using smash stack but when i go to stage builder it doesnt load the boot.elf im using a 4gb usb   :(

I think you have to use an SD card. As the Stage Builder doesn't recognize USBs
