Link Drop Bombs w/ Exploding

Is it possible to drop Links bombs on the ground similar to snakes without them exploding on contact?

I think it would be a cool feature to have Link drop bombs in the field like Snake. Obviously Links would through time.

Maybe Link throwing a bomb down after spawning one causes it not to explode (immediately), but throwing it up or to the side it blows up immediately on collision.
