Need help with matching in game costumes with their Fit*0# ?

Okay, so I had tried searching for a visual "map" of which costumes corresponded to which outfit number since the devs didn't think it would matter if they were all jumbled up. Well, I couldn't find one, so I made one. It's not super fancy, and a couple characters are missing. I'm pretty sure that they are all in the correct order. So, here you go, hope it helps.

You're way off with some of the color slots, considering that some characters have their default outfit being used as a team battle color.

How am I off? The defaults are always 00, followed by Red, Green, Blue, if their default is one of those it continues without it. (ie, Blue is default, it would be red, green, then the others.)

All the ones I've tested so far have matched up. The only error I've found is that Ness 04 and 05 are backwards. Besides that, the rest match up thus far. I got the listings for which color goes to which Fit*0# from here.

odd 01 = red
but mario doesn't have 01 from wat i remember, or maybe does idk, i do know some chars could be off, like Link

01 on Mario is his Green one. And Link, despite the order in the game, his dark version is where it should be, if thats what you were referring to. I went through after adding replacement csp's over the ones I have pac/pcs's for. And for all the ones I have, there were no mismatches. If there are any that you know for sure are wrong, I'll move them around. Besides that, I found it extremely helpful when replace csp's with custom ones to match the textures.

Note: I did notice some of the last ones I have listed that only seem to have 5 instead of 6, they have a slot that isn't used in each. For example, I think 02 is skipped on Toon Link, the rest go in the order that they are in the game.

You're not really understanding what I'm trying to say here.

Mario, Ness, Diddy Kong, King Dedede, and R.O.B. do not have 01, as their default outfit is red.  Likewise, Link, Yoshi, Luigi, Bowser, and Toon Link don't have 02, while Lucario and Sonic don't have 03.

All the characters stated above (except Lucario and Sonic) do have a 06 to make this up though.

Finished up a complete, more accurate map of the texture slots.

Note: The image below is quite big, which is why it's in a spoiler box.

Note: Mr. G&W only has one texture slot, which is FitGameWatch00.  However, his CLR0 data does work in the same manner as the texture slot numbers...

00 - Default
01 - Red
02 - Green
03 - Blue
04 - Extra 1
05 - Extra 2
06 - Extra 3 (not used)

Ah, okay. I was simply going from the source I found that listed them, guess that's what I get (a couple wasted hours in photoshop), for not checking multiple sources. Regardless, it's incredibly helpful. Thanks for posting a complete, and correct one, I appreciate it. =)

In terms of portrait order, that would be the case.  However, the portrait order, and texture slot order are NOT the same.  Take a look at the post link below for more details.

Nice job on the topic, I'm sure it'll really help ppl out.
Personally, I would edit the OP to have the updated picture, in the spoiler. It might confuse people in a hurry, who might not look at the updated picture, but the old one instead.
