Huh, mine is exactly the same size. Problem is, I have to swap between two internet plans every week. This week I'm on the slow 5 GB plan :\ .
Much worse than the moderate 25 GB plan...
Anyway, apologies for the off-topic reply.

I was checking out mariokart64n's screengrab of the beginning with EVA and the character view menu that was posted online. Most of the textures are assembled confusingly, as they had explained. Not that they're unusable, you would just need to use a picture for reference as to what goes where/with what. I can't wait to try ripping the textures myself...

After we get MGS3 Snake Eater textures, onto MGS4 textures, although it will probably take 2 years to download the whole ISO.

MGS4 can't even be emulated though. You can't take a 3D screengrab without a 3D screen to grab...
So there'll be no textures from that game for a while (unless by stupid luck someone found out how MGS4's file compression works before MGS3's had been.)

Hi. The Model I Snatched from MGS2 is NOT T-stanced like Brawl Models, so I have to find a way to rig git before I can do any morphing.

Well my ultimate goal is now to take a ridiculous amount of 3D screengrabs of MGS3 run through the PCSX2 emulator, each of which will depict Snake with every texture that can be applied to him (and possibly including other miscellaneous textures such as swamp mud attached to his legs.)

This will take me about a month, seeing as I have exams to study for, 2.98 GB to download on a poorly seeded torrent, and a very low possible success rate*. After that I'm hopefully going to get the textures organised nicely into some folders, and then I'll send them off to my good friend xxTerminatorxx to see what they can do with them.

*The PCSX2's emulation of MGS3 is the best the development team say they could have hoped for, and yet there's still the issue of Snake's clipping issues with terrain, and the game itself ultimately being much too slow to progress through on some computers. After the game I'm downloading finishes, I just have to hope it works on mine. I 'think' I have the appropriate computer specifications... At least I have all the tools I could possibly need.

Well,if someone were to vertex the gray fox over meta-knight to be more like raiden I could texture it.

Currently I am still working on making that Twin Snakes Snake, for some reason it looks odd in game, I am trying to use the textures Friedslick was so nice enough to send. When this is done, I suppose Friedslick's ripping MGS3 textures will be done, also.

Good luck with that. All my attempts to do so ended in crashes.
3D Ripper Dx doesn't get along with PCSX2 for some reason.

If it did, I would have ripped all of MGS3 a long time ago.

I'm making a version of my Big Shell stage to go over SMI.
One more big thing needs to be completed, and afterwards I'll release it.

I won't be using 3D Ripper DX, instead I'll be trying to rip textures with programs like 3DVIA and Texmod.
I already read about 3D Ripper Not working a while ago, I won't make that mistake...

And xxTerminatorxx, you sound too confident in me XD .

I really liked your original bigshell stage, but might I suggest eliminating the bridge rail that's in the foreground for the new version?  It makes it really difficult to see.  The whole stage could definitely be bigger too.  It's awkwardly crammed on the left side of the screen.  I know it's probably way too late to make such a big change, but IMO the best Big Shell location to turn into a stage would be the Shell1-2 connecting bridge where you fight the harrier.  It has two floors and lots of interesting scenery compared to the rest of the bridges.

Actually, somebody used 3D Ripper DX to get Xenosaga models: http://www.facepunch.com/showthread.php?465674-KOS-MOS-model-and-possibly-other-Xenosaga-models&p=8860236#post8860236 read all the posts by sarah, she explains how it works.

    Sorry for the double post...

I believe 3D Ripper DX only works with older revisions of PCSX2 which handled models differently from the way a PS2 does. Unfortunately those revisions of PCSX2 cannot emulate MGS3, due to lack of a time handling method which the game checks for on start-up.
If only the youngest 3D Ripper DX compatible revision was modified to contain that time handling method...

I will always be confident in you, Friedslick, you can do it. If this works, this means it's possible we could get our hands on Volgin's Model and maybe EVA's or The Boss'.

    Nice work fellas

On the topic of ripping models from 3D screengrabs of MGS3... It's seems that for some reason they are ripped with a lower polygon count than shown in-game, and also miss some polygons. Of course, that would either mean that they appear very edgy, or are barely recognisable. And in any case, the models won't be T-stanced and won't include bones. So I don't think that any models I rip from the game will be usable...
Though, this is merely speculation. Still, ripping the textures from MGS3 looks totally plausible.

On a related note: I could always try using the Chinese program, GameAssassin, to rip the models with bones. But from what I've tried in the past, the program simply does not work as it should.
