Is there a good stage tutorial?

I've been looking to make a stage with
1)A bunch of models animated.
2)A building that burns down after some time, then respawns

Can anyone help or send me a tutorial on how to put models and animations in stages?
Or just a general beginners guide?

well i also need a noob guide, for i have never touched a stage. I've planned the thing tho, as far as i know, you place the models and animations on a plain. I just dont know how
