I found Luigi's hat bone and changed the Scale X, Y and Z to 0.001, basically to make it invisible.

I wasn't sure whether to save it as a .pac or a .pcs so I did both.

I then loaded the hacks on brawl and chose Luigi, to find that he still had his hat on. :c

Does anyone know why I failed?

Those Type Of Major Changes Can Only Be Done By Vertex Removal.... Not By Brawl Box Alone... Theres A Link To Learn How...

you have been through a lot of hassle. I've watched every topic you posted on this, and most of them seemed to disintegrate gradually.
But the coolest part was that you didn't stop working on it despite that.

Unless you're using any of the Pokemon Trainer Pokemon, Bowser, Wario, Shiek, Zelda, Samus and Zero Suit. I think that's all.

    sry...
should've been a bit mor clear...

    if there is a FitChar00.pac and a FitChar00.pcs,
    you only need the pcs...

but if there is only a .pac such as FitCharMotionEtc.pac
that is where you use pac instead of pcs.

    hope that helps Smiley
