I want to back up all my Wii games.

The problem is, my computer doesn't have a dvd burner/drive in it...

Is there a way to store the Wii ISO's on my COMPUTERS hard drive, and somehow load and play them on the Wii?

I've read about external hard drives being used, but I don't have the cash for some 16Gb USB 2.0 drive.

Any help?

Even if it isn't possible, can someone explain why?

Thanks.

So, no one here knows that much, huh?

An attempt would be appreciated as well...

you have been through a lot of hassle. I've watched every topic you posted on this, and most of them seemed to disintegrate gradually.
But the coolest part was that you didn't stop working on it despite that.

You can store your iso on a hard drive formatted to wbfs trough the wii, then you can place them with wbfs manager to your pc.

and don't try to bump it a half hour later.

I've actually been snooping and found this:

    Code:
    http://www.flatmii.com/

Oh, and if other users can get away with bumping their own thread, I can too...

Apparently, it's able to sync your pc to your Wii and stream the ISO in, from what I read.

The site says it won't cost more than 38€ plus tax and S&H.

No hard-modding required, and it's region free.

I could see this turning sour though...

Edit: Checked one of the sellers.

It looks like a legit piece of technology, and it's, rounded up, $USD40.

If you have already some kind of hard drive, you can use my advise.
Otherwise, it might be smart to buy this.

And about the bumping; I'd say the same thing to others if I see it.

If you have Wi-Fi you can use Wii dvd dumper to rip the disc to your pc over Wi-Fi. Otherwise go for hard drive/flatmii.

This. It's just a homebrew app; totally free.

It's free, but it would probably take some huge time to do, especially if you have lots of games.

To Make "Legal" Copies of GC/Wii Games there are 2 known methods.

    1. Use a modified Wii Console. Either Softmodded or Hardmodded.
    > Boot USB Loader (or) DVD Dumper off your SDcard to dump data from a disc back to your PC.

    2. Buy one of the listed LGdrives, and modifiy the drives firmware to allow you to directly copy the data (fastest method)

The third is to download a pirated copy, although that's not very "safe" or legal. but the other methods require fair knowledge of both hardware and software modding. people usually buy a pre-hacked Wii or LG drive.

But! if your here that means you "should" already have a modded Wii, in which case search on youtube for info on USB Loader, or DVD Dumper. guides and links will appear I'm sure
