    Is it really possible? Because I have had zero luck getting my Common5.pac working without the BEEEEEEP of death.Battle Portraits I can get working.CSPs? Not so much.

    Using XML provided by Midnite(?),btw.

    Just use a selecharacter.pac and put it in menu2.

    Just use a selecharacter.pac and put it in menu2.

    From what I hear, you can only use that file with the PAL copies of Brawl.  When using Riivolution, that file causes the game to crash for the NTSC copies.

    Basically, you have no choice but to use common5.pac.

    Anyway, regarding the custom portraits and Riivolution, it is possible to get them working, but you must make sure that your portraits follow the following requirements...

    128x160 pixels - CI8 texture / RGB5A3 palette

    They do.And it STILL continues to give me the BEEEEEP of death.
    I'm trying to test out three CSPs and a SSP,btw. And I'm using Brawlbox.

    Is the file named common5_en.pac?  My modified common5 works with Riivolution, so something must be way wrong with yours.

    Nevermind,I found my problem.The filesize WAS way too big.Curse Sakurai and his love for overly detailed portraits.

    And it gives me an excuse to use the Flaming Blue CSS And SSS,XD

    Here's a small tip to consider...

    You can delete the two MotionEtc archives inside common5.pac to heavily lower its file size.  It won't affect Charizard, nor Squirtle by any means.
