but to all the people who call them "shaders":
THEY'RE NOT SHADERS, THEY'RE MATERIAL NODES.

take it from a wanabe game-developer Tongue
(I call myself a wanabe because I srsly suck at it) Sad

    game-dev isn't easy when it's just you... D:>

    EDIT:

I just pick the worst possible ways to do it Tongue

you have been through a lot of hassle. I've watched every topic you posted on this, and most of them seemed to disintegrate gradually.
But the coolest part was that you didn't stop working on it despite that.

    VC++ is expired for me...
(unless someone knows of a hack that actually WORKS)

I'm stuck using Dev C++ which can't import these SLN files. DX
    (the version is too new)

    - Check "Triangulate" and "Export as Single Matrix" on export.
    - Each texture/material has to be assigned to its own object in 3DS Max.
    - Export Y-Up (or else your model will be face down on the floor in Brawlbox)
    - Check Animation - Deformations - Skin.
    - Delete all morphs. If you want to use face morphs for an import, make it into a seperate face object.
    - Don't use Physique to rig your model to a brawl skeleton, use the Skin modifier.
    - You might have to re-assign some polygons to a different material in Brawlbox (I added support for this)

hey BJ... (or anyone else who knows what they're doing)

I need a really compact mtx44 inversion function,
as the one I have right now is a bit outrageous... >_>

    to see my current function,
DL my latest converter and scroll to the bottom of ':/UMC/plugins/Cmn.py'

there has to be a better way than that... >_>
